What a beautiful kitty in that graphic! A Maine Coon?
ReplyDeleteI prefer adult cats to kittens. Yes, kittens are cute and playful, but they get into so much mischief. I've lost several cherished pieces of glassware to "curtain climbers."
Adult cats are more attuned to the moods of their human companions than kittens are -- another reason that I like adult cats so much. The saying "Cats know things" is so true!
That picture shows The Dream Feline, if ever there was one, in action. Wonderful shot!

Helen,
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely correct!
I love little pussy.
ReplyDeleteHer coat is so warm,
And if I don't hurt her,
She'll do me no harm.
I'll sit by the fire.
And give her some food,
And pussy will love me,
Because I am good.
~ Mother Goose
One of my favorite Mother Goose rhymes.
ReplyDeleteI do note, however, that cat love is "quieter" than dog love.
Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.
ReplyDelete- Mark Twain
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.
- Pudd'nhead Wilson
The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's.
