"Lies have no limitation, only the truth does. The advantage is always to the liar."
~ quoted by Ms Shaw Kenawe at Progressive Eruptions

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!, Oh THANK YOU!!! for revealing so elegantly and succinctly, Ms Shaw, why Marxian-Socialist-Fabian-Liberal-Progressive-Statist-Collectivist-Tyrannist pseudo-benevolent thinking has had such tremendous success in capturing the hearts, minds and souls of so many millions of poor souls eager to embrace an EASY WAY OUT via Simplistic Solutions to complex economic and social problems.

  2. Thank you Shaw all you other lefties for exposing yourselves so thoroughly as partisans - without honor, concern, or care for your country. Ideologues who would throw away the very protections of our country - the very concept of equal protection under the law in your blind partisanship.
You are the lowest of the low, without principle, and a very real danger to the well being of this country.
By exposing your true nature, any decent human being among my countrymen have turned from you and your ilk in disgust and revulsion.
I for one am glad the ugly mask has finally come off.

And in reference to Benghazi. Real leaders are accountable. They don’t blame others, don’t claim credit for the success of their team, but always accept responsibility for failures that occur on their watch.

  3. Good morning, ladies,

I'm sorry to say I don't think you understood the point of this post at all. Ms Shaw and i do not agree about politics, yet we are friends.

I've been trying to persuade partisans from both sides to see that their hidebound attitudes are really Rorschach patterns -- mirror images -- and that each side looks equally irrational and absurd if one makes any attempt at all to look at things with any degree of objectivity.

There were EIGHT comments on the board when I arrived a few minutes ago. Six of them were just plain nasty -- ugly, pointlessly rude, spiteful and unkind, so they got erased.

I left yours, because they show evidence of intelligence and thought, but I did NOT publish this item to ridicule or vilify Ms Shaw.

I just thought it was incredibly ironic -- to the point of being downright comical -- that she chose to quote a critical observation, presumably from a liberal writer, that could very well apply to BOTH sides more or less equally.

You may be right, Susan, but I don't believe either women or liberals are the only people who resort to rationalization.

I don't think ANYONE really knows the TRUTH well enough to claim it as his or her private, exclusive preserve. There are merits and flaws in all points of view.

I, of course, favor the libertarian position, and believe fervently in standing up for what seems right and just to me, and so I applaud and support the quixotic initiatives of Senator Cruz and DESPISE the Republican Establishment for not standing with him and giving him full support.

Politics may of necessity be brutal, but it doesn't have to be pointlessly rude, nasty, vulgar and blind to any good qualities members of the opposition might have.

We should be able to disagree vehemently without resorting to insult, calumny and libellous assertions that try to impugn our opponents' motivation and character.

I saddens me that few-if-any seem able to appreciate the HUMOROUS aspects of much of what is going on.

  4. I saw your comment over at Shaw Kenawe's and I applaud it for its brilliance.

The psychological projection of the left is stunning, and their reliance on pathos, to the exclusion of ethos and logos is, well, pathetic!

President Obama could unilaterally declare the NIH Cancer Research team as mission essential and take care of those children who are locked out. He delayed whole chunks of Obamacare for a year, for crying out loud.

No, the liberals don't care about "the children" (no doubt, Ms. Kenawe most certainly does). I'm referring to the red political operatives who churn out this propaganda to be spread by their minions.

This is how the grow the state: Point out some personal tragedy then scream "DO SOMETHING!"

Good Americans imagine that they could be next, or their grandma or their children, so they cheer congress on as the government gobbles another whole slab of our personal lives.

Again Mr. FreeThinke, I congratulate you for so thoroughly categorizing the left and for stating it so cogently and eloquently.

  5. Mr. Free Thinke,

Your first commenter copied, cut, and pasted an answer from an advice column dealing with betrayal by a lover. Here's the whole text:

Most women will do almost anything to avoid having to face these truths. Here's the link.

I'd cast a jaundiced eye on anything the "Susan Feingold" deposits here as well. "She" isn't what she's pretending to be.

And the comment "she" left was copied, cut, and pasted from the comment section of the Washington Post. HERE

This isn't the first time these fake commenters have used you. A fake George Whyte, who stole an ID and avatar from a friend who comments at my blog, has fooled a number of you on your own blog and on AOW's blog.

Now you may think that's humorous, but think about how easily anyone could steal your ID and avatar, pretend he's you, and comment on liberal blogs, misrepresenting your political ideas.

Most decent people find that repulsive and downright sleazy.

By allowing the impostor to continue to use another person's image and name is about as disgusting as it gets.

You speak about the loss of decency in our day to day discourse all the time. Where is there any decency in allowing that fraudulent freak to continue his dishonest stupid charade?

    Have a pleasant weekend.

  7. Does anyone know who anyone else really is out here in Blogoland?

Still, Shaw's point is well made: Stealing the blogger identity of another is dirty pool. I did not catch on until reading over and over again George Whyte's bleating about how his identity was stolen.

What made the ruse undetectable, however, was that the fake George Whyte sounded just as nutty lefty as the real one!

So I think FreeThinke and others can be excused for not picking up on it sooner.

Having said all that, Mr. FreeThinke's erudite commentary in this weblog post is still brilliant in its criticism of the contradictory and dogmatic miasma that is modern-day American 'liberalism.'

I do not doubt Ms. Kenawe's sincerity, but she and others like her wallow in naivete as they gather and congratulate one another on how smart and compassionate they are, as they cast disdainful glances and hurl invective at the 'tee-baggers' and the grubby, selfish pigs on the right.

    Consider this:

Said a senior administration official: “We are winning…It doesn’t really matter to us” how long the shutdown lasts “because what matters is the end result.”

You see, my dear fellow Americans on the left, your little piggies on that dung heap known as Capitol Hill are just as grubby and stinky as the ones on the right.

It's not about the children, or the veterans. It's about "winning." Put that in your Charlie Sheen pipe and smoke it.

  8. Dear, Ms Shaw,

I take all remarks at face value according to their content -- not their authorship. I found ALL postings under the name George Whyte to be obnoxious, and have treated ALL of them accordingly.

Of course I am one of those people who don't care in the least who "really" wrote Shakespeare. The content and quality of his work speaks for itself, and the WORK is all that should concern us.

It would certainly interesting to learn and know for sure that it was really Anne Hathaway's doing all the time -- or Bess of Hardwicke -- or Queen Elizabeth, herself, -- or even little Benny Battenberg the tailor's boy -- but ultimately it does not MATTER. It is only the WORK that has any importance.

If it turned out that Beethoven was a kleptomaniac, or a predatory child molester, or a drug addict, or had chronic halitosis, why should anyone care? It is only the WORK that matters -- in my view. The rest is just "human interest" eyewash.

And as for "George Whyte," whoever he really is, once again I must say I haven't seen one single word written under that name anywhere that is worth anyone's time and attention. He gets nothing from me except automatic deletion on sight.

  9. By the way, while I applaud the efficiency of your efforts to trace the origins of various remarks, and have no idea how you could do it, I also wonder why anyone with a mind and heart as fine as yours would want to waste precious time hunting down trivialities?

One day I know I shall find a statement from you online admitting an appreciation of my logic on at least one point, and then my life will be complete, and I'll be able to go to my reward fulfilled and serene. ;-)

  11. Mr Duck,

The issue is that the federal government chooses to reach into its vast storehouse of taxpayer funds and Chinese loans to grant gargantuan employer contributions far beyond what any profit-making organization could do if it wanted to stay in business.

You lefties love to wail about fairness. Well, this is clearly unfair.

It is entertaining to see the intellectual acrobatics progressives perform to justify Big Daddy Government's serial abuses.

The Duck is just one more intellectually-dishonest whiner who mewls on about Ronnie Raygun and the tea baggers, but turns a blind eye to the malfeasance and dastardly tricks of the left.

  12. Mr. Free Thinke,

For someone as passionate about how people conduct themselves in discourse on various blogs as well as a person who decries "Alinsky style" tactics and the supposed underhanded and dishonest methods you claim the left always uses to win arguments, I'm surprised at your cavalier attitude toward someone who steals another's identity and posts as that person on other blogs.

I know who the real G.W. is, and I also know he has never been here. You're angry with what the fake G.W. has written here and on conservative blogs.

You claim that none of this matters; but I think that what does matter is having some consistency on this subject and respecting other people's boundaries--whether you agree with them or not.

You think it's trivial when a thief steals people's identities and when people come here and pass other people's words off as their own?

I guess the old saying "There is no honor among thieves" is true then?

One should be able to stand up for decency even when it involves people whose ideas we do not share--decency in not trivializing someone stealing another person's identity or pretending to say something that person would not say himself.

When you trivialize cheating and fraud because your side isn't being cheated and mocked, you may discover few will come to your defense should it happens to you.

I think that we should stand together against dishonorable bloggers, right and left, who steal other people's identities and post on other people's blogs and who pass off other people's words as their own.

When you brush this sort of fraud off as inconsequential and silly, the diatribes you write about how liberals use certain tactics in trying to win arguments ring hollow.

It is not naive to expect people to behave decently.

First off, I didn't say the first comment was a stolen identity. Your reading comprehension needs work.

    Second,

What does a piece of advice from Susan Forward on how to deal with a lover who has disappointed a woman have to do with Mr. Free Thinke's post?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ms. Shaw,
Why, pray tell, do you bang on about the now banished George Whyte?

Mr FreeThinke deleted the character and banished him once he was apprised of the matter. What more do you want?

As I noted earlier, whoever the culprit was did a wonderful job imitating Whyte. His postings were virtually indistinguishable from the loony lefting rantings of the real George Whyte, so please, give it a rest.

Wait. I see it now. When the left cannot discuss the inconvenient truths at hand, they must generate a smoke screen and scream about some trivial matter as a diversionary tactic.

  17. To Miniver Cheevy,

I'm afraid, my good man, it is you who is engaging in diversionary tactics.

I await our good friend, Mr. Free Thinke and his answer to me on how decent people should deal with commenters who steal other people's identities.

    ReplyDelete
  18. First of all I want to thank my unknown advocate, Miniver Cheevy, who popped out of the woodwork and leapt to my defense. Recognition of another's virtue and credibility is very rare in these here parts, so whoever you are, I thank you.

    As for the rest:

Well, Ma'am, since the blogosphere is populated almost entirely with fictitious identities, and since we still allow anonymous posting, I frankly think you are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

What some unpleasant trickster chooses to do with his time and ingenuity is no real concern of mine.

I have already explained my aversion to ALL the incarnations of "George Whyte," who from the moment he appeared was an obvious troll, and resolved several days ago to delete his counterfeit presence routinely whenever it presented itself at this blog.

The mysterious Mr. Cheevy has already made an excellent analysis of what has been going on with the George Whyte Scandals of 2013, and a more-than-adequate defense of my behavior for which I thank him and to which I have nothing to add.

If there really ARE two George Whytes, and the "real" one is a personal friend of yours, I strongly suggest that he do what you, yourself, did sometime ago when your own avatar was stolen, Ma'am, -- change his avatar, and STOP CLOGGING UP our various BLOGS with his outraged protestations -- a practice that only plays right into the counterfeiter's hands, and worsens the matter.

You surprise me by your attempt to assert that any of this is in any way my fault -- or that I have been in any way involved in perpetrating and perpetuating what is clearly a lunatic farce -- one of many such in this bizarre electronic realm we inhabit.

I certainly didn't start it, and have no power to bring it to a satisfactory conclusion. I'm very much afraid this sort of chicanery goes with the territory. There's nothing that can be done -- that I know of -- to stop it, so from what I can see we have no choice but either to put up with it and work around it as best we can, or wash our hands of the whole business and withdraw from the blogosphere.

  19. Perhaps I should have saved all the really rude and spiteful remarks I found here early this morning? Most of them were directed at you, Ma'am. I found them stupid and extremely distasteful -- and potentially hurtful to you -- so out they went. It was hardly the first time I have defended your honor, Madam, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

    ReplyDelete
  20. "...change his avatar, and STOP CLOGGING UP our various BLOGS with his outraged protestations -- a practice that only plays right into the counterfeiter's hands, and worsens the matter."

This is the frustrating crux of the matter.

George Whyte NEVER POSTED ON ANY BLOG BUT MINE and one other liberal blog.

So your accusation that he stop "clogging up blogs" should be directed at the impostor. He never came to your blog.

This is the problem with blogging and commenting! Most of the time people engaging in discussions are not only talking past each other, but they don't even have their facts correct.

I know George Whyte. He would not comment on any conservative blog because he has seen how they treat liberals.

The G.W. doing the "clogging" is the CONSERVATIVE impostor, and you, Mr. F.T., place the blame on the original G.W. who has never, to my knowledge, posted here or at your friends' blogs.

This, I think, goes directly to the problem with a lot of conservatives: They get their facts wrong and can't see past their noses to what the reality is.

George Whyte has shown us how quick some folks are to lay blame where it is not deserved. What has been done to him at the hands of a deceitful conservative faker is a parable for what conservatives do to destroy their opponents and distract people from the issues.

I don't understand how you, who charge liberals with dishonest tactics in presenting their arguments, do not see what the conservative faker is doing in the guise of a liberal G.W.

Alas, I think we'll have to drop this subject, because there isn't anything more to be said.

    Thank you for your patience.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The “Ma'am” wishes to “drop this subject, because there isn't anything more to be said”
Perhaps the is more to be said!
The “Ma'am” chose to fail to address the fact that Mr. FT was kind enough to delete all rude and spiteful remarks that he found there earlier this morning. and that most of them were directed at you the “Ma'am”
But the “Ma'am” was swift to defend the person G.W. be it the real G.W. or the imposter G.W. both or the same G.W. who seems to have a way to disturb the blogs with his “ CLOGGING UP various BLOGS with his outrageous accusations.
The “Ma'am” states that she “knows” this disturbing and annoying individual and that he would “never post on a conservative blog. Well I don’t know if that’s something I’d want to be proud of. But either way,I really think that the “Ma'am” would be exaggerating when she says that she “knows” this troll.
And personally I think that the “Ma'am” is completely wrong, confrontational, and full of shit when she said that.
Thank you for your time Mr. Free Thinke.

  22. For some reason all this reminds me of the story of Gladys Glover, the comic heroine played so wonderfully by Judy Holliday in It Should Happen to You.

If that doesn't ring any bells, please look it up. It's a very funny film, but as with all good comedy there's an important point about how best to deal and not deal with the human condition.

Of course, I should be the one who is miffed, because I had hoped -- as I always do -- not to talk about myself, not to engage in "personalities," and not to talk about other people. I saw tremendous irony in the quotation at the head of today's "item," and I'd hoped others would pick up on THAT and discuss IT.

  26. Finally! Ms. Kenawe should have dropped it a long time ago. As if Mr. FreeThinke were to blame for the impersonation.

It's been said twice already, but I'll state it again:

No one knew this Whyte fellow was an impostor because he regurgitated the same stale, discredited, mendacious, leftwing propagana that the real Whyte does!

I will also restate this quote from a news source cited above:

Said a senior administration official: “We are winning…It doesn’t really matter to us” how long the shutdown lasts “because what matters is the end result.”

You see, my dear fellow Americans on the left, your little piggies on that dung heap known as Capitol Hill are just as grubby and stinky as the ones on the right.

Ms. Kenaw completely avoided the issues at hand and created a diversionary tactic. Something out of a Hitchcock film perhaps, where the pretty lady is about to get caught shoplifting, so she causes some shelves to fall, occasioning merchandise to fall crashing to the floor and diverting everyone's attention.

She's fish out of water when not at her blog where she controls the conversation and the cawing chorus of Obamalings rasp and flap and peck the eyes out of all ideologically-impure interlopers.

As for the identity of George Whatshisname, who really gives a damn? I really actually thought that it was all done for fun. And to be honest, I still think that. But regardless if is is or not, who cares? Why is this such an issue? There are such really important issues that we should be discussing about the future of America. And instead Ms. Shaw comes here with this Bull-Shit? It’s really hard to believe that so much time is wasted in this crap.
Obama is NOW says Obamacare is the law of the land . What has happen to all his other rhetoric like race relations, Gun Controls, Slavery, Abortion, , women's rights, Gay marriage, George Zimmerman, and all those other things that Obama put on the front burner to avoid speaking about BENGHAZI, and to keep BENGHAZI out of the headlines! . So ,do you libs want to go back and make Obamacare the law of the land? in history. I surely don’t.

  29. I agree about the use of diversionary tactics -- a timeworn custom practiced by those in a tight spot of one kind or another. However, the fault lies in the inability of those at whom the tactic is aimed NOT to let themselves be diverted.

Since it is virtually impossible to attract participants who address the topic instead of posting snide remarks about each other, BOILERPLATE (prepared polemics of inappropriate interest), and criticism of me for not being a mind reader, or for simply not seeing things the way the poster would like me to, I wonder if it wouldn't be wise no to post anything at all other than "OPEN DAY #1" and so on?

  30. Ms Shaw QUOTED an unknown source at her blog yesterday. This post was SUPPOSED to be about the QUOTE, it was NOT supposed to be about Ms. Shaw, herself, or the problem of imposture on the internet, neither was it supposed to be about the general contemptibility of EITHER political party or the degeneracy of the American political system.

Using that quotation as a springboard for discussion, we COULD have had an interesting conversation about the nature of human perception, how human beings come to believe certain things are true and false, and human psychology in general.

What we got, instead, is, of course, a disappointment. The TOPIC is now CLOSED. It is time to move on.
