  1. We'd been getting too much stale, "canned" rhetoric from belligerent leftists and too many insolent quips unrelated to the article of the day -- sometimes even from regulars.

When you make an effort to stimulate thought and hope for intelligent discussion on a given topic, it seems very rude to me to post remarks that make no attempt -- even obliquely or humorously -- to address the featured subject.

If this causes others to think me petulant, so be it.

I'm very friendly to all who seem reasonable and the least bit sincere. Just sick of playing stupid mind games.

    Aren't we all?

  2. Well said. If they want to post their red propaganda straight off of the Ministry of Truth teletype, let them do it at their own blogs.

  4. That says it as succinctly as possible: "Ideas so good they have to be mandatory". What good Stalinist can disagree with that?

    Happy Thanksgiving.

  5. As it sometimes must be. Or... Left to a better day.

The dynamics of countervailing philosophies will live on until man is no more.
