  2. I listened this morning. What a difference between Faure's requiem and Verdi's!

    Faure's was, if the word can be used appropriately in this case, more "pastoral," and Verdi's was, as you quoted other's opinion, more operatic, and dramatic.

    I was in the mood for Faure's requiem today, knowing that today is November 1, and in 51 day, winter will be here.
