A Philosophy of Governance Incorporating All We Need
To Know About How Best
To Reform Taxation and Weaken Inordinate Centralized Power

A Libertarian Manifesto

The frustration with our government’s immense
Obtuse, insensitive and insincere
As congress seems. The cost of food and rents
Lawsuits, cars and School fees –– all so dear –
Insurance coverage too –– should be exempt ––
Be FREED from leechings levied from On High!
Ensure our freedoms. Do not tempt
Reprobates and Dupes wth The Big Lie:
That Someone Else should have to bear their weight.
A Helping Hand cannot in chains be held.
Resentment there soon festers into Hate
Instead of Help. The death of Hope is knelled.
Ambition to coerce Compassion kills ––
Nurturing Nihilism’s deadly thrills.

    1. Thank you, Silver.

What I had so hoped everyone would glean from the sonnet is encapsulted in these words:

"The cost of Food and Rents –– Lawsuits, Cars and School Fees –– all so dear –– Insurance coverage too –– should be exempt ––be FREED from leechings levied from On High!"

Now what does that actually mean?

Could anyone translate those words into more ordinary everyday language?

If you could, you would understand my idea on how best our TAX CODE should be reformed. Needless to say it's RADICAL.

      I am after all a RADICAL Conservative-Libertarian. ];^}>

  2. At this point what Iwe are seeing regards Moore is a bunch of organized progressives on the attack and a few lying female democrat supporters. That’s how it works. Just pay a few hard up women to allege assault on anyone . The. left doesn't need to win an election when they can steal it.

    1. We have no PROOF of THAT anymore than we have PROOF od Moore's GUILT, Sam.

Two lies do not cancel each other out. They only COMPOUND the immorality and lack of integrity.

    2. By the way, WHY do yoy ALWAYS avoid discussing the designated topic of any given post, Sam?

Just because we happen to be on the same side of most major issues does not give you a license to post OFF-TOPIC comments at this blog.

It's a poor practice. I ask you please to stop.

    3. This is a forum for discussion isn’t it.
      ?
So why are we not allowed to open a discussion on the topics of the day ?

    5. This is a forum for openly discussing the TOPICS posted. It is not open for a general, free-for-all discussion of any old thing that happens to tickle your fancy, Sam.

I've made that abundantly clear countless times. OFF-TOPIC COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED at MY DISCRETION.

Nasty little quips, taunts, jibes, insults, and stupid, belligerent criticism of me and others in the blogsphere will ALSO be deleted on contact.

That last part does't apply to you Sam, of course.

  4. The G.O.P. continues to find new and hilarious ways to fall on their faces and embarrass themselves. Republicans are simply incapable of governing and their current defense of a pedophile is disgraceful. The Democrats will regain the House in 2018, and they will impeach the trumpanzee. If the Democrats regain the Senate as well, Trump is finished, consigned to the trash heap of history, a fitting, ignoble end for the vulgar blowhard who should never have been elected.

The nation gave the G.O.P. everything, and they fumbled, fuddled, and frittered it all away. The G.O.P. cannot govern. Why would any sane American ever trust that pack of incompetent boobs with anything?

America's future is progressive, and the Democrats have the plans and the competence to lead us there. This was your last gasp, lowbrow deplorables, and you blew it.

    5. I told YOU to GET OUT and STAY OUT, Norman. I MEANT it.

FIlthy COMMUNIST IDEOLOGUES of your acutely despicable ilk are NOT WELCOME HERE ––– and NEVER WILL BE.

      WHY?

Because, YOU and everything you support and try to do is a WASTE of MY exceedingly valuable TIME.

  5. I favor The Fair Tax for two reasons. It take the power of the purse away from the most corrupt individuals in our country, politicians, and it is Fair as the name says.

As to Normans post, what is progressive about incentivizing people to not work by providing them with an benefits equal to a paycheck and stifling opportunity. Passing a healthcare bill that punishes the vast majority of working Americans. In order to pass it they had to bribe members of their own party to vote yes. That is not progressive that is criminal and as long as they own the media, they will survive.

  6. With all the hype about the Russian interference in the American election process, the election of President Trump being to result, and everyone anxiously awaiting the coming "tax relief",overlooking the reality of the world is almost a given.

Never to be stated for public consumption in the media today is the influence of Israel in directing the state of affairs on the ground in America today. Any word coming from the mouth a today's neo-con agit-prop machine will be something beneficial to the Jewish lobby and/or Israel. Staunch supporters of Israel, such as pedo-monster Lindsey Graham advocating for a monstrous "$38 billion should be regarded as a minimum amount, and that Congress should approve additional funds for Israeli defense as needed.".

While blinded by the phony political party division, where the media has stirred up to a fever frothy pitch the hatred to be felt, the folks seen dining at the same table and, Adelson and Streisand, should revolt the sleeping goyim, realizing that they have been suckered and had by these con artists shilling for the biggest influencing country on American life—Israel.

"The Powers" have put a warnng on the video you linked labelling it "offensive" but they still haven't stifled access to it altogether –– yet.

From what brother Nathaniel tells us it appears that Henry Ford was RIGHT, even though "The Poiwers" forced hm to retract and recant his still famous treatise The International Jew, which some have equated with he Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

      WIKI, of course, tell us:

"The Protocols of the Elders of Zion The Protocols of the Meetings of the Learned Elders of Zion is an antisemitic fabricated text purporting to describe a Jewish plan for global domination.

FABRICATED? By whom? And what about it has ever been proven conclusively to be specifically untrue?

I says right in the Bible –– oddly enough a JEWISH document! –– "By their FRUITS ye shall know them."

  9. OT - It seems that the lure to absurdity is a bipartisan malady in the blogosphere FreeThinke. Perhaps it is so because it is easier to jump to that which requires the minimum of thought and being a burr does occasionally gives a brief sense of satisfaction. I am guessing here but he longer the malady persist the more difficult is becomes to cure. I do have just a bit of experience with this first hand and can attest to the fact is a fools journey as it accomplishes nothing at all.

    On to the post topic.

In principle I agree with what you say. As I was thinking about your prose it occurred to me that the disciplines required to lead a successful life in a society such as you (as well as many others) desire are the very principles and values my grandfather and father taught me were important and proper as far back as I can remember. Thankfully for me by living my life by those vales I have been able to lead an independent and productive life. As have my young middle age boys.

There are some specifics that warrant in my mid tweaking a bit. I'm reminded of your views that all veterans ought to receive free heath car and a free hose for their service. Which would be fine by me. But it caused me to ask myself, if this is just and proper why is it we can't find a way to implement a national health system that would allow for affordable and adequate healthcare for all American citizens and legal immigrants. Without health there can be no quality of life.

I don't have the answer to this question although I do believe in a nation as industrious ad wealthy as our own there surely must be an answer that sound economic policy and sound fiscal policy could support.

    1. A former Secret Service agent assigned to the Vice President Joe Biden residence claims that the Service often had to protect female agents from him.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the agent asserted that, “We had to cancel the VP Christmas get together at the Vice President’s house because Biden would grope all of our wives and girlfriend’s asses.” The annual party was for agents and Navy personnel who were tasked with protecting the Biden family.

“He would mess with every single woman or teen. It was horrible,” the agent said.

  14. The ugly truth about our so-called elected public servants: most of them have no clue about how the expenses mentioned in the verse here impact those of us not sitting in the top rungs of the pyramid.

The death knell of our republic: the federal income tax. The gubmint never imposed a tax that the gubmint didn't love.

    1. If I'm not mistaken, the original rate of the personal federal income tax was 1/2 of 1%. No deductions. We should return to that. A level playing field -- and a way to trim the ever burgeoning federal bureaucracy.

      I don't believe a nation can be "mildly socialistic," any more than I believe a girl can be "just a wee but pregnant." §;-}

Lincoln, of course, by flouting the Consitutional limits on Executive Power, did much to damage the Founder's Vision, but even more it was the advent of Progressivism (a de facto variant of Marxism) that set us on the Long Slow Road to Ruin.

  16. The ability to control taxes is the ability to control people. Our elected elite will never give up the ability to make the tax code benefit them because that would free the American taxpayer to focus on the elite's performance instead of "tax reform". Politicians have three goals, spend your money, get more of it and keep their job.
How many positions in the US can you support two houses and at least one family on less then $200K a year while at the same time becoming a multi millionaire in a couple of years. Lobbyists are in business to buy favors from the anointed public greed mongers and they are quite effective.

We truly need to go back to citizen legislators who meet a week out of every six and have to earn a living in the real world.
