Lucianne Goldberg at home in her study

A distraction from major electoral loss for the leaders. A pot and beer soaked block party for participants.

Would that be the Gen. Petraeus whose personal file is locked in Hillary's vault?

"Sensational and electric assertions made by liberals to further their agenda, especially on issues of race and sex, have a habit of being untrue."

Poor O, all tangled up in equality.

Absolutely stultifying stupidity.

Now there's a way to run a city. Infuriate nearly 100,000 cops.

With this loony concept she has officially
become a mental health problem.

A long, thoughtful read to save for your wintery weekend.

  5. Remember folks, get mad about all that police misconduct and abuse. Because we need Eric Holder's Justice Department to straighten them ALL out and respond to the control of the federal commissar's they'll be installing locally.

  6. Contemporary American "liberalism" is a loose collection of competing victim and agitation groups.

It is incoherent, unbalanced and incapable of answering any question, solving any problem, or even governing.

It's slavering quest for total control and red-faced insistence that everyone adhere to it's dogma make a very mockery of the inapt label of liberal.

    Salutation The Third

Let us deride the smugness of 'The Times': GUFFAW!
So much for the gagged reviewers,
It will pay them when the worms are wriggling in their
    vitals;
These are they who objected to newness,
    Here are their tomb-stones.
They supported the gag and the ring:
A little BLACK Box contains them.
    So shall you be also,
    You slut-bellied obstructionist,
You sworn foe to free speech and good letters,
    You fungus, you continuous gangrene.

Come, let us on with the new deal,
Let us be done with pandars and jobbery,
Let us spit upon those who pat the big-bellies for profit,
Let us go out in the air a bit.

Or perhaps I will die at thirty?
Perhaps you will have the pleasure of defiling my
    pauper's grave;
I wish you joy, I proffer you all my assistance.
It has been your habit for long
to do away with good writers,
You either drive them mad, or else you blink at their
    suicides,
Or else you condone their drugs,
and talk of insanity and genius,
But I will not go mad to please you,
I will not flatter you with an early death,
Oh, no, I will stick it out,
Feel your hates wriggling about my feet
    As a pleasant tickle,
    to be observed with derision,
    Though many move with suspicion,
    Afraid to say that they hate you;
The taste of my boot ?
Here is the taste of my boot,
    Caress it,
    lick off the blacking.

  9. Thersites,
Get your political commissar installed locally NOW!

    From the link:

Holder and his constitutional-scholar boss are not banging the civil-rights drum because they believe these are prosecutable cases. It is just a pretext for unleashing Justice Department community organizers on state and municipal police departments.

    [...]

...have the feds come in and hamstring police with “social justice” guidelines...

Exactly! That's the agenda! I came to that conclusion myself about 48 hours ago when I kept asking myself, "What is the Obama administration up to now?"

Federalizing the local police departments so that they are, in effect, operated by the federal government.

    Welcome to the gulag.

  10. Creating the conditions necessary for an expansion of federal control... like placing 1/8th of the economy under Obamacare.

Did you hear Schummer's speech the other day?

  11. ABOUT EZRA POUND (WIKI)

"Outraged by the carnage of World War I, Pound lost faith in England and blamed the war on usury and international capitalism. He moved to Italy in 1924, and throughout the 1930s and 1940s embraced Benito Mussolini's fascism, expressed support for Adolf Hitler and wrote for publications owned by the British fascist Oswald Mosley. During World War II he was paid by the Italian government to make hundreds of radio broadcasts criticizing the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Jews, as a result of which he was arrested by American forces in Italy in 1945 on charges of treason. He spent months in detention in a U.S. military camp in Pisa, including three weeks in a six-by-six-foot outdoor steel cage that he said triggered a mental breakdown, "when the raft broke and the waters went over me". Deemed unfit to stand trial, he was incarcerated in St. Elizabeths psychiatric hospital in Washington, D.C., for over 12 years.[2]

"While in custody in Italy, he had begun work on sections of The Cantos that became known as The Pisan Cantos (1948), for which he was awarded the Bollingen Prize in 1949 by the Library of Congress, triggering enormous controversy. He was released from St. Elizabeths in 1958, thanks to a campaign by his fellow writers, and returned to live in Italy until his death. His political views ensure that his work remains as controversial now as it was during his lifetime ..."

  12. I'm familiar with Pound's biography, FT. The Left has gone out of their way to negate his influence.

  14. " The Left has gone out of their way to negate [Pound's] influence"

That's only because he dared to be openly critical of the Jews. To them "anti-Semitism" is the worst of the worst of crimes -- an atrocity that DEMANDS punishment by ostracism, defamation, negation, consignment to Oblivion, and if it were possible DEATH.

  15. As for the government -- ever since Lincoln -- and later the Progressives -- took over (Bully Boys all), the government has been in the business of exacerbating tensions, deepening divisions, and either fomenting or taking full advantage of genuine moral and economic crises for the express purpose of amassing power with the goal in mind of gaining ABSOLUTE, DICTATORIAL CONTROL.

Anyone wo can't see that must be opaque.

The question, of course, is not whether or not this is true, but what could we hope to DO about it?

  16. Emily Dickinson answered the question and solved he problem of Ezra Pound's sanity before he became a force o be reckoned with:

    Much madness is divinest sense
    To a discerning eye ––
    Much sense the starkest madness.
’Tis the majority in this, as all, prevails.

    Assent, and you are sane;
Demur –– you ’re straightway dangerous ––
    And handled with a chain.

    ~ E.D. (1830-1886)

  17. Pound was no fan of communism or the "Roosevelt's". I suspect he overlooked the faults of many of America's enemies because he was all too keenly aware of the fault's of her and her friends.

  18. I'm temped to buy a book containing the correspondence between Pound and Wyndham Lewis. Along with ts eliot, they formed a formidable opposition to the literary and artistic "travellers" of the Bloomsbury Group.
