Hitler Youth, like the SA, was Germany's answer to the red diaper baby and Communist street agitators.
...which is alive and well.
...and in America today.
I know someone who grew up during the rise of the Third Reich. She explained to me how the children were forced into the Hitler Youth.Hitler was no dummy when it came to disseminating propaganda. He was also apparently charismatic.

The similarities between Obama and Hitler are terrifying!German people in such distress? Because their government was in utter chaos, and the German leaders wanted to reassure the people that everything would be ok. The only fly in the ointment was that the Nazis had, behind the scenes, caused the distress themselves by creating the crisis, so that they could step in and solve it. Sound familiar?Barack Obama is changing times and laws in America, giving himself unprecedented power never before seen. His ObamaCare bill. now the law of the land, empowers him to create his own private army, forces citizens to abide by unconstitutional laws, and will use the IRS in much the same way that Hitler used his brown shirts to make people get in line behind his policies. Many Americans will awake to late to the fact that Obama has subverted the United States Constitution, and stolen our precious liberties and freedoms. That's why Obama's faithful and blind followers are encouraged and taught to follow and have so much faith in Obama. As Ben Carson said in one of his speeches, “our government is using all of their tools to intimidate the population into being afraid to speak out against the government. Then he compared it to Nazi Germany and how Hitler used the same tactics to silence those who disagreed with him. As in Germany then, the threat of retribution for speaking the truth is harming this country.”Just remember.....we were warned!
Yes, Thersites, one of the greatest ironies in history was Hitler's hatred of Communism and his dedication to trying to obliterate it.Of course in those days to be anti-Cmmunist was tantamount to being considered anti-Semitic too, because the spread of Communism here really was a creature of Jewish Intellectual, Jewish Journalists, Hewish Entertainment Moguls,' and Jewish Political Activists' and Community Organizers' making for the most part. That association is why the anti-Communist movement ultimately failed, because NOBODY wants to be called an anti-SEMITE. The penalties incurred are MUCH too great. These days it's far better to betray your country to a deadly enemy, or commit murder, rape, theft, vandalism, blackmail, or spousal abuse than to be called either a "RACIST" or an "anti-SEMITE."If you don't believe me, just think who's been getting all the bad publicity for the past fifty-odd years? ADOLF HITLER, that's who!Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Ho Chi Minh, and Castro, et al. are hardly ever mentioned at all anymore. Now isn't that a funny coincidence?
It's called the "cloak of Gyges". If a tree falls in the forest, and the news is suppressed, it never happened.
...and by suppressed I mean witnesses and truth tellers, isolated and then attacked and denounced to destroy their credibility. When Leftists become the "authorities", Leftist MiniTru minions rewrite history (ala Zinn's "People's History of the United States").
Exactly right, Thersites. The UN, of course, is the Frankenstinian Monster WE made that has now turned against us -- AND against the Jews who championed it more than anyone, since the UN was credited with the creation of the modern Jewish State. The UN -- a foul concept first dreamt up under the progressive Woodrow Wilson who dubbed it The League of Nations -- was fully intended to be the first giant step toward the establishment of One World Government and the resultant loss of US sovereignty.Like the blandishments of Marxism and Stalin's Constitution for the USSR it all SOUNDS so good, so kind, so generous, so noble. Underneath, of course, has been a slow-moving, wily, insidious treachery all along. The pen is, indeed, mightier than the sword, probably because in the hands of evil geniuses -- like the Serpent in Genesis -- it is a "subtile" beast whose evil cloaked in a false aura of benignity slithers towards us in the guise of friendship before it strikes and devours us whole.
Since I don't have three hours to spend watching this right now, I'll say that the best way to immunize oneself to the brain-rotting group-think that's a prerequisite to graduating to a full-fledged goose-stepper following mindlessly the recited slogans of the leader, is to make a commitment to recognizing that you, yourself, are responsible for what you think and how you act.If one mindlessly follows the insane hate-filled urgings of the next political darling promoted shamelessly by the media pimps of today, then you will definitely receive all that you've earned as a just reward. You assert that it's happening today? Yes it surely is and oddly enough it's mostly a handful of individuals who are able to see this and retain some sort of grip on reality.Regarding Hitler and WWII, specifically: If WWI hadn't occurred and resulted as it did in imposing such heavy financial burdens upon the losers, Germany, Hitler and WWII would not have happened.Wasn't it Albert Pike, a Confederate general, who presciently foresaw three future world wars? Seems like he was right on all counts as it would definitely appear that we are racing headlong into a great third conflagration—as we speak...
FWIW, pertaining to our current state of affairs I recently came across this interview with General Wesley Clark that reaches back to the time of 9/11 before the invasion of Iraq and his statement that this was part of a great plan to take out seven countries in five years—starting with Iraq and going on from there through Lebanon, Syria, Libya, etc and finishing in Iran.Strangely enough nothing has been said about this plan in today's media whore house, and explaining it to the world would seem to be the right thing to do, but it appears to be going full-steam ahead, although perhaps slightly delayed over time. "Wesley Clark Seven Countries in Five Years"
Sounds like a real strategy fell victim to political coup counting.
Do you think anyone realizes that this is NOT really about Adolf Hitler or even the Third Reich, but about demagoguery and the way idolization of a secular figure too easily leads to the disintegration of individuality, independent thinking, creativity and the establishment of authoritarianism, dictatorship and involuntary servitude.Animal magnetism -- i.e. "charisma" -- can be a grave danger, a detriment to genuine human progress. It's easy to see with the benefit of hindsight that Hitler was a monster, but we've been so conditioned by the determined obsession to dwell primarily on the Holocaust to think of him in that light -- and thus to think ill of the German People, themselves, -- we either have forgotten -- or never knew -- the extent to which Germans, themselves, were the victims of circumstance as much as any other faction.GroupThink -- another term for Mob Psychology and Mass Hysteria -- surely must be among the most deadly of undesirable human characteristics.-------------> Katharine Heartburn
Thomas Hawley saidThis is what the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin is really all about. It's happened over and over again, but no one ever seems to see it coming till it's too late.
AOW, I think "seduced" would be accurate than "forced." Seduction is the grave danger that comes with charismatic leaders. We've been so busy, ever since I can remember, talking about how evil was Hitler and the Third Reich we seem to have lost touch with WHY the German people were so vulnerable to the blandishments of a forceful, charismatic demagogue like Hitler. We have the benefit of seeing these things in retrospect. The Germans living with the aftermath of WWI and the agonies of the Great Depression had no such advantage.
FT,AOW, I think "seduced" would be accurate than "forced."This particular family was not on board with Hitler. In fact the daughter, now quite elderly, came to my classes a few years ago to warn them of the consequences of demagoguery. Riveting "speech"!
I was referring to the effect Hitler had on the vast majority of Germans, and especially on the children as revealed in this excellent-if-chillng documentary, which is well worth the more-than-three hours it takes to watch.I posted it not as yet-another "History Lesson, but as an examination of how desperate economic circumstances makes a large population group highly vulnerable to the blandishments of a demagogue who uses mass hypnosis to establish terrifying conformity to his dictates no matter how depraved.I try always to derive and reveal underlying principles from specifics rather than the other way 'round. There will always be abundant exceptions to prove any rule.
FT,The woman I mentioned had to go to Hitler Youth meetings. She never bought into the brainwashing, however.Neither did her brother. But he was conscripted and placed on the front, where he was shortly killed. I don't know if he was deliberately placed in the line of fire so as to be killed, but that certainly could have been the case.desperate economic circumstances makes a large population group highly vulnerable to the blandishments of a demagogue who uses mass hypnosis to establish terrifying conformity to his dictates no matter how depravedAgreed. There are circumstances other than economic, too, but most often the circumstances have indeed been economic.
