It may be a little politically embarrassing for Obama in the short-term, but in the long-run Obama will look wise to have stayed out of it as much as possible. This could be a God-send for the US guys, when you think about it. Really. Have you thought about it? Or is everything just Obamania with you guys?

    2. When it comes to the Middle East, –– where Brutality, Stupidity and Feral cunning appear to reign supreme ––, there is no "good side" for us to back in ANY of their internecine conflicts. It's tantamount to a choice between Feces and Vomitus.

Every attempt The West has made to dominate –– or even mildly influence –– that benighted region has only served to exacerbate the volatility and self-destructive aspects of the accursed place.

"lol! Backing the Shi'a in Syria is a 15% vs 85% loser no matter how you try and spin it."

Quite an immature statement. We have in Syria a secular regime, built mainly of religious minorities, with the end goal of protecting them from slaughter by the majority Sunnis. It has worked, and by appearances, shall continue to do so.

    4. Immature? The following statement epitomizes the very definition of immature...

We have in Syria a secular regime

And wasn't that also the case in Iraq with Saddam Hussein? In fact, weren't the secular Ba'athists in charge of BOTH states?

What you're in essence saying is that the King of Spain was a "secular" leader who had it in his power to stop the Dutch Reformationists.

The Baa'th Party was never "secular". Like the King of Spain and the Dutch, it was the story of one religious minority oppressing another religious majority. There never has been a truly secular "separation of church and state" in a Middle Eastern regime.

Secular. You don't have a clue.

      Delete

We must draw our comparisons from within the Islamic world such regimes reside in.

By comparison, they are secular. Christians may have their bibles and churches. Liquor stores operate. The regime crushes sectarian violence. Saddam gassed the Kurds because they started an uprising. Same thing again with the Marsh Shia.

I suggest you pull your head out of Spain and focus on the issue.

The revolt was triggered by radical Sunni Islamists who want to dismantle the nation of Syria, slaughter all Christians, Jews, Alawites and other non-Sunnis who had previously been living in relative safety. The Islamists want to construct a larger caliphate and perform a mass genocide of non-Sunnis.

This is not the fault of Baathist regimes. It is the fault of those who preach and practice a severe form of Sunni Islam.

When observing such phenomena, one must put them in context. The benevolent King Hussein of Jordan is responsible for the worst massacre ever of Palestinians. Every regime has at least one such story.

You appear to be rambling on with no apparent objective. Government regimes in that region are not known for benevolence. A dictator who deals harshly with sectarian bad actors is preferable to anarchy. I proffer Libya as a flaming example of what happens when a dictator is toppled.

Opinion polls are notoriously unreliable in that region, but Libyans prefer the good old days of Gaddafi, Iraqi's pine for the quiet days of Saddam, and so it goes.

Destroy such regimes is barely half the battle, and it is the easy half.

I suggest you do some reading or take some undergrad history classes at your community college. You seem to be a tenacious person, so you would benefit richly from them.

So you are a military man? Then you should have encountered such people. Many Muslim societies function at the survival and tribal level. Attempts to vest them with yearnings for western style "freedoms" is tragic and horribly mistaken.

I pointed to Libya, Iraq and Syria as contemporary examples.

You, meanwhile, believe we still have a draft, that Iran is "neutralized" and "completely out of the game."

    2. Sorry, Stomp, just about every aspect of US Foreign Policy –– first under Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld –– and their successor Obama-Hillary-Kerry –– has been either inadequate or spectacularly inept.

As I just said to another contributor, there is no "good side" to back in the backward, violence-prone, utterly irrational Middle East.

Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld may have had the right idea to begin with, but their failure to follow through and thoroughly conquer the region so as to bring it to its knees begging for mercy, –– as we did with Japan in WWII and to a lesser extent Germany ––, resulted in the embarrassing failure and ever-worsening, potentially explosive situation we live with today.

Mr. Obama, H. Rodham Clinton and J. F. Kerry have failed utterly to bring about the slightest change for the better. Things have only gone from bad to worse under their watch.

I think what Ms. Bankhead probably meant was that failure to stand foursquare with Israel against her sworn enemies constitutes de facto support of those enemies the deadliest and most powerful of which is undoubtedly Iran.

At any rate, Mr. Netanyahu, a very brave, strong-minded, manly individual whom I respect a great deal, would deeply disagree with your attempt to dismiss Ms. Bankhead as some sort of crackpot.

Here is the Oregon Shooter’s Profile: Who is Mahmoud Ali Ehsani?

    Friday, October 2, 2015 5:10

The Oregon shooter had a thin social media profile.

On his myspace page, Chris Harper-Mercer, 26, posted a photograph of himself holding a rifle, alongside images of masked IRA gunmen and an IRA terrorist video. The IRA and Palestinian terrorism have a long history.

He has two friends – a girl and a jihadi. Check out the terror sympathizer’s page – “kill the jews”.

Mahmoud Ali Ehsani’s Page looks like this:

“The Quran ….. holy book of muslims”
    “THE SIGN OF ISLAM”
    “The brave Mujahideen heroes”
“my brave soldiers keep on fighting for the liberation of Palestine against Israel. fuck Israel. Kill the Jews. jews are the only infidels.”

‘If they said they were Christians, they were shot again’

Ana Boylan, 18, was in her classroom at Umpqua Community College when the gunman entered and shot her professor, she told family members Thursday afternoon.

Boylan, who had started attending the college this week, was shot in the back, said her grandmother, Janet Willis. A girl standing next to her was shot, too, Willis said.

“They just laid on the ground and pretended they were dead,” Willis said her granddaughter told her and other family members. Boylan tearfully recounted her ordeal from a hospital bed after she’d been airlifted to a Eugene hospital. As she lay wounded in the classroom, she told her grandmother, she heard the gunman ask others to rise and state their religion. “If they said they were Christians, they were shot again,” Willis said.

A woman who said her grandmother was inside Snyder Hall, where part of the attack took place, described what happened in a tweet.

Police have not yet said whether Harper-Mercer was a student at Umpqua Community College although several reports suggested he was crazy.

Officers also said they recovered three handguns and what they described as a “long gun” – which generally refers to a shotgun or a rifle.

There is not much else — a profile from a “long dormant” dating site.

And a couple of random posts, thank frankly give little insight to motive.

    1. Why "unbelievable," Illar? Our beloved president and his consort were members of a militant, anti-white, anti-Semitic, anti-Capitalist, virulently anti-American, pro-Communist, pro-Black Muslim, BLACK-LIBERATION "Church" for TWENTY YEARS.

Our illustrious First Couple were married in that so-called "church," by Jeremiah Wright who loudly proclaimed "GOD DAMN, AMERICA!" from a purportedly "CHRISTIAN" pulpit.

Our president was RAISED to loath and despise the United States of America by his Muslim father –- a black African savage from Kenya –– and his white mother, a lunatic Communist bitch encouraged by her viciously subversive, anti-American parents to date ONLY men of color and to get pregnant by one of them asap.

With all that in mind there is nothing the least but puzzling about our president's actions and attitudes.

Even so, I feel compelled to add that Zionism, itself, is an ill-conceived star-crossed concept that could not fail to draw vehemently unfavorable attention to itself. For a race noted for exceptional brilliance, high achievement, and an uncanny ability to dominate host nations where they comprise the tiniest of minorities, the Jews –– particularly the Zionist Jews –– have been incredibly opaque and self-defeating in their dealings with the world at large.

  7. Sitting at the feet of his anti-White, anti-America, anti-Jew spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright, or listening to his anti-Semitic friend Louis Farrakhan, Obama is steeped in anti-Jewish hatred as well as anti-America hatred. But most of all, I believe that he looks at a leader like Netanyahu and realizes, that even as the President of the United State, he is a joke when it comes to leadership. In fact, Valerie Jarrett and Michele Obama appear to have more leadership skills than the man himself.
Think about what Netanyahu said about Iran developing ICBMs (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles) whose range extends beyond Israel, beyond the Middle East – and directly to America.
Think about a country whose mission is the destruction of another country – and a country that openly shouts this objective from the highest councils in their land.
Think about a country that spreads state-sponsored Shia terrorism worldwide. Using proxies to promote a religious war, ethnic cleansing, and the annihilation of those who do not follow their beliefs, dictates, and demands.
And, think about a leader who would sell-out his country to her enemies and consider it his crowing achievement and supreme legacy. If Iran ever launches a nuclear weapon, consider what a legacy that will be – right up there with Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Pol Pot, and others who became pariahs to a civilized world.
The sad fact is that we cannot rely on the democrats to protect and defend America, let alone freedom in this increasingly dangerous world.

It's easy to tick off a list of "conservative" positions, but it's harder to apply a logic consistent with those positions on the larger more theoretical level. Why is it "fiscally conservative" to always demand lower taxes? Is it ever a better idea to pay down your debts? To take in more revenue in order to owe less later? Why is spending always bad? Well, almost always bad. Unless, of course, it's for the military/police state. Does a conservative person forgo investing in the future? Today's fiscal conservatism is not conservatism. It's just stingy nastiness.

I believe this sick trend is the result of the kind of alienation so-called "social media" has brought about. The 24/7 "news" cycles on at least three cable networks started the hideously divisive, obsessive-compulsive mentality that has turned the nation into two bitterly partisan, warring camps who have nothing good to say about each other.

Is there a pattern here? It almost seems to be following a familiar script, right down to the usual braying from the jackass in the White House about the usual nefarious enemies. Maybe Obama has hired some of those fine upstanding Hollywood script writers to map out scenarios for him to mount his phony soap box and orate until the listeners ears are bleeding.

How is it possible in today's online to acquire a vast arsenal of weapons without raising flags somewhere. Everybody's purchases are monitored and recorded, especially online, and for even the most mundane items. I find it hard to believe that somebody that buys weapons then makes internet comments would not even raise flags somewhere in the vast monitoring universe today.

    3. A Jewish state fully endorses the use of the Jewish Torah and the Talmud as the laws of the land. Last year, as part of a series of moves designed to make Israel’s Jewish status crystal clear, Benjamin Netanyahu publicly stated that he aims to make Israel’s legal system based on the Talmud, as it should be. In Netanyahu’s own words to the Likud party’s ultra-Orthodox member Yaakov Vider: “We will legally define the Talmud as the basis of the Israeli legal system.”
As the Jewish state, Israel’s Jewish essence must be felt in every single aspect of Israeli life. The Talmud is the divine law of the Jewish people, so it’s essential that it also be the law of Israel – the Jewish state. Regardless of one’s feelings about Netanyahu, his commitment to following Talmudic law and cementing Israel’s Jewish status is truly something to be admired.
However, by acknowledging the idea of “Palestinian land,” Netanyahu is betraying the Talmud and Talmudic law. If there is one term that I truly cannot stand to hear, it’s the term “Palestinian land.” Talking to other people in the Jewish community, I often hear the term “Palestinian land” thrown about, and it always deeply irks me. Any Jew who speaks of “Palestinian land” clearly has a very deep misunderstanding of Jewish law. The Talmud makes it very clear that all land belongs to Jews, and that Jews may seize any land that they so desire. Schulchan Aruch, Choszen Hamiszpat 348: “All property of other nations belongs to the Jewish nation, which, consequently, is entitled to seize upon it without any scruples.” This is directly from the Talmud. Why, then, should the “Palestinians” be entitled to any land? Why should they even be allowed to exist?
In the words of top Israeli Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, “Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world; only to serve the People of Israel.” Likewise, Rabbi Ya’acov Perin has publicly stated: “One million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail.” Shocking? It shouldn’t be. This is Talmudic law as well. The Talmud makes it very clear that the life of a non-Jew has no value, and that gentiles exist only to serve Jews. Sanhedrin 59a: “Murdering Goyim is like killing a wild animal.” Abodah Zara 26b: “Even the best of the Gentiles should be killed.” Baba Necia 114, 6: “The Jews are human beings, but the nations of the world are not human beings but beasts.” Midrasch Talpioth, p. 225-L: “Jehovah created the non-Jew in human form so that the Jew would not have to be served by beasts. The non-Jew is consequently an animal in human form, and condemned to serve the Jew day and night.”

    4. All that may be true, Waylon, but we should remember that israel was very deliberately set up to be a specifically JEWISH State. With that in mind why would we want to criticize Israel's leaders for doing all they could to reinforce Jewish Identity in the Jewish State?

I know darned well I would much prefer it if these United States advocated, emphasized, and did everything possible to encourage the development of a specific, uniquely AMERICAN cultural identity.

On one hand COSMOPOLITANISM can be glorious. On the other MULTI-CULTURALISM is a code word for the deliberate, socially engineered DISINTEGRATION and DESTRUCTION of long established identities.

If rabid liberal Democrats in this country could get past their own fears, prejudices and hatreds, they would see that Israel is their ideal state!

I made a point of quoting directly from the horse's mouth, so to speak, including a direct source from Israel itself. And I do realize that it may be improper etiquette to be so brazen as to offer a criticism of the "chosen people".

You may be expecting the response of a badly beaten dog to simply slink off and cower in a corner when the implication is made that to offer criticism of Jewish influence in other countries, especially in the United States of America. Why should these issues not be brought out into the open for all to see and understand—what is really happening to a once great country and a once great civilization?

Is there any group that is out of bounds for criticism as much a Jews in what is touted a a "free country"? Unfortunately most people suffer from a blind spot and the game is to play upon that blind spot and exploit it to create sympathy for a group which in most cases is well beyond criticism and sympathy.

Do you realize what a small sliver of the Israeli political system the Ultra-Orthodox are? Are you familiar with the long catalog of their nutty pronouncements?

    10. What struck me most about that post was the fact that it was published by the Times of Israel and quickly removed because of its inflammatory nature and also that it wasn't the first time that had happened at that particular media outlet with similar types of posts.

You think they are playing to a particular audience, or what? I'm sure they wouldn't want the gullible goyim stumbling across that sort of post, it might blow their cover and even trotting the usual anti-Semite label might not be enough to keep the true nature of that despicable enemy from being exposed to the light of day.

Not to worry, I'm sure there are honest journalists covering the lies that the mains street media pumps out to their captive audience, giving another perspective.

And you imply that you's like to disassociate yourself from that because it's spewing from a small fringe group of
      Ultra-Orthodox Jews.

If you're Jewish don't you relate to the religion and the Talmud which is also cited above?

To adopt your metaphor, I was only strolling down the street and accidentally looked into an open door and expressed my disgust at what I had seen.

I don't think it's quite so simple as asserting that there's nothing to see here. That I should just carry on and pretend everything is OK, because it's all 'conspiracy theory and a hoax'.

Turns out that the Israel Times, the journal in question, is owned by a well-heeled American Boston billionaire. The paper is just a young pup in terms of age, but has had some severe issues with obnoxious posts that get attention.

Especially when the list of Thunder Thighs’s Scandals are so long, I couldn’t fit them all into one comment. But the one that I like best is the one as the First Lady, ThunderThighs visited our troops deployed to Bosnia, She later recalled her helicopter landing under sniper fire, and she and her LYING Daughter had to duck and run to find shelter...but news footage of her arrival there clearly disproved her recollection. She was actually greeted on the airstrip by dozens of people, including an 8-year-old girl who gave her a poem and thanked her for President Bill Clinton’s decision to send a peacekeeping force to the region. She responded by saying she was overtired and “misspoke”..Yes It was absolutely incredible, how our First Lady, soon to be our Secrtary of State, and now the front runner in her party for the presidency could just LIE so blatantly to the American people. She makes Brian Williams look like a Boy Scout.

Who would have thought that Scumbag Bill had all the class in the family?
The woman is delusional. She lives in a fantasy world where she is the Queen and the rest of the world her subjects.
And lets not forget that instead of the Hilderbeast being outraged against her husband for being a sexual predator, and a serial rapist, Hillary repeatedly smeared and attacked Bill’s victims. Hillary called Monica Lewinsky, a “narcissistic looney toon” in private conversations with confidante Diane Blair. She called Gennifer Flowers “trailer trash.” Clinton rape victim Juanita Broaddrick said Hillary Clinton threatened her in person only two weeks after she was violated by Bill Clinton.
Doesn’t it strike anyone as strange that the only candidate for the Democratic Party’s nomination to be the next President of the United States is the wife of an impeached President?
What Gall! God help this country if she ever become our president.

Is there another leader who can deliver a speech as moving and powerful as Netanyahu today? A big part of why he is so good is because he is a mental giant, a Churchillian figure of great strength, intelligence, bravery and character. Unlike the asshole we have in office today. Watch this speech and be objective, it's like watching a historical figure in action. Years later we will be glad we were around to hear and see him speak:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paused his speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday for 45 seconds to protest what he called the "utter silence" from most of the world on the Iran's threats to the destruction of his nation
He said when he resumed. "If Iran's rulers were working to destroy your countries, perhaps you'd be less enthusiastic about the deal."
Netanyahu was referring to the recently struck Iranian nuclear deal, celebrated not only in Iran, but also by Democrats in the United States. Republicans, and Netanyahu, say the deal gives Iran more access to nuclear weapons, not less.

Netanyahu has more testosterone in his fingernail clippings than Obama does in his entire being.

  22. The sad factor is that not on of these bleeding heart progressive idiots fail to mentions is that you cannot stop these so called mental cases, criminals, and or crazies with any law that they ignore or consciously refuse to accept. As it has been said over and over again, these people if you wish to call them people, I prefer to call them wild animals, don't obey laws, or abide by the system. Not one reporter, and not even our dear leader has addressed that. And no one has the balls to stand up to Obama and just ask him “just what laws are you promoting when you say gun control and how would that have stopped this tragic event?” or “do you mean we could eliminate all DUI deaths and traffic accidents by banning cars?” And, if he argues the point, ask him to compare the usage of vehicles to the usage of guns by law-abiding honest leagal Gun owning citizens.
So maybe more people should be looking for other alternatives, like voting for a president who has the guts to tell it like it is, and what it is, is that more Ann more of these shootings and killings are being done either by Muslims, Blacks, or by whites who have been requited by Muslim Terrorists.

  27. Have any of you heard Our Dear Leader Obama was venting his anger over the heroin problem in Chicago his “home town”? Have you heard him specifically address the EIGHT shootings that happen last Sunday night? But I’ll bet you DID hear his speech about Gun Control and his agenda for 15 minutes while he allotted 2 minutes to speak about the 9 victims!

I haven’t heard a lot of Libtard “chatter” about the heroin overdoses in Chicago either but I’m sure that all of the Libtard Progressives are simply beside themselves, tearing out their hair, wringing their hands in anguish because of the guns! Well did the “Guns” get up all by themselves, and marched off to shoot and possibly kill innocent men, women, children and the assorted gang rivals but are truly surprised that the drugs and needles didn’t.

Guns are inanimate objects, syringes and drugs are inanimate objects and are incapable of being used unless someone exercises their FREE WILL to use them.

The United States, and most areas OF the United States have some very strict laws regarding HARD DRUGS, and heroin is a very HARD DRUG.

Chicago has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, so, tell me how it is that Chicago has so many shootings and once again this sudden rise in heroin usage that IS, without a doubt, going to kill a lot of those that overdose?

I haven’t heard the Libtards on the radio, or on TV, or read about this on facebook screaming to “Ban the Syringe”, have you?

Look, I am very much against ILLEGAL Guns being in the hands of anyone that is not a Legally Licensed Person who is entitled to buy, own or carry them as much as anyone else is.. And I am also very much against the use of illegal drugs or the abuse of legal drugs in a recreational manner or not! And I myself am NOT a Gun Owner, BUT I am NOT for taking away our Rights in any way shape or form. I am NOT for taking guns from the hands of HONEST Americans, or, another impossibility, removing ALL illegal drugs from this nation, what do we do when MORONS exercise their FREE WILL and take up the gun, the needle, the pipe or whatever the hell is currently the popular tool of the day is?
