AN EXPERIMENT
If you can think of anything pleasant, affirmative and reassuring to say about President Barack Hussein Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, would-be presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, Senator Harry Reid, former speaker Nancy Pelosi, current speaker John Boehner or ANY member of the Establishment, please share it with us.

We will accept POSITIVE remarks ONLY. All snide remarks, sneers, taunts, gibes, vilification, barbed questions, and condemnatory rhetoric will be removed.

  2. With such elected leaders as President Barack Hussein Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, would-be presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, Senator Harry Reid, former speaker Nancy Pelosi, current speaker John Boehner or ANY member of the Establishment, America's future has most assuredly been secured.

In a democracy, for every example of things done right, a counter-example for the voter must be presented.

And the results of their long term and continued leadership speaks for itself.

  3. Michelle Obama has a pleasant speaking voice and rarely uses slang, Ebonics, and the like.

The president has a beautiful set of white even teeth.

He wears clothes well, when he's dressed for state occasions.

He has a nice baritone voice, better than the two who came before him.

Mrs. Obama has very strong upper arms.

Mr. Kerry has a great head of hair.

Ms. Pelosi has a good figure for a woman over 75.

Mrs. Clinton? Well, we have to admit she has staying power. She also must have balls of brass to be able to face the cameras and show no sign of shame or remorse.

I'm sorry but I can't think a single nice thing to say about Mr. Reid. Maybe he likes dogs or something, but you can't prove it by me.

Mr. Boehner has very good features, but no one notices, because of his personality. He has a good voice too, but he doesn't use it very effectively.

I hope this qualifies me to say posted? I really tried very hard to respond as you asked.

  5. Granita,
I agree -- except for one comment about Michelle Obama's upper arms.

Lady Diana's arms were the perfect arms -- not bulked up.

That said, I must say that I admire Michelle Obama's dedication to the kinds of exercises that make her arms so tight.

  6. First Lady Michelle Obama is to be highly commended for her initiative in raising health and fitness awareness. Especially her focus on improving both within the youth of America.

The First Lady's fit body is quite sexy actually.

I'd love to know the name of Nancy Pelosi's plastic surgeon, wouldn't you?

Whatever e;se she may be she's certainly a great testament to that surgeon's skills and the power of the Almighty Dollar.

  10. Mrs. Obama may be many things, but ugly isn't one of them.

  11. Well, this was a disappointment. I thought surely the opportunity to praise their heroes unstintingly would bring the leftists out in droves.

Do you suppose they too find it difficult to say anything supportive of the current crop sitting at the top?

I was seriously hoping to learn something affirmative of substance about one or two at the very least. Oh well!

As Alice said, "Things are getting curiouser and curiouser."

  12. Perhaps this is because the leftists suspected the thread was a 'bait and bash' ploy.

    Just sayin...

    BINGO!

You know very well, Mr. Free Thinke, that when liberals come to these conservative blogs, it usually attracts the hate 'n' bash crowd, so it's useless, and a waste of time, to participate any more. With the possible exception of RN USA's blog, Western Hero's blog, and Jo Joe Politico's blog, it is not possible to engage in any sort of discussion.

And this happens even when certain liberal commenters do not even visit the blogs where the hate 'n' bash crowd frequently visits.

AOW's and Who's Your Daddy blogs, for example.

So why bother with placing comments on those boards anymore? As I said, it's a waste of precious time.

  18. Do you suppose they too find it difficult to say anything supportive of the current crop sitting at the top?

    Bingo!

I think that it's become hard for them to do so AND maintain a straight face (or an ounce of self-respect). :)

  20. I'm sorry, Miss Shaw, but i think your observations are completely out of order.

I suppose my persistence in expressing unwelcome views (by your standards) peeves you, but I wish you would not let it alienate us, personally.

I also wish you'd discourage some of your "regulars" from attacking me with rude, pointedly unkind personal remarks just because my sentiments don't concur with theirs.

I hope you have noticed that I have NEVER attempted to say anything rude or unkind to anyone at YOUR blog? I never subject anyone who posts at PE to scorn and ridicule at this blog either -- or anyone else's.

In addition I usually delete witless, derogatory comments aimed at you and others, as soon as I discover them.

What I say at my blog about life in general or about public figures, however, is my business. No one is forced to read my articles.

At any rate, even though you are kind enough to publish my rare comments to PE, you seem to feel no needever to say anything affirmative on my behalf, and have stopped defending me when others make vituperative remarks that should by my standards -- and those you, yourself, claim to maintain -- be jettisoned or at least politely challenged or contradicted.

I am not trying to "scold" you. I'm merely trying to help you realize that bilious rhetoric directed at fellow bloggers personally is destructive to the best interests of worthwhile conversation in any context. I despise it in "Right Wingers" as much as anyone else, and say so all the time. I believe decent people should stand up for good conduct and proper etiquette. One Way Rudeness is unconscionable.

HOWEVER, it is NOT our business to CHIDE others about the way they run THEIR blogs -- especially AT their blogs.

PS: I am not angry, just sadly disappointed.

  21. By the way THIS was a prominent part of the blog post:

We will accept POSITIVE remarks ONLY. All snide remarks, sneers, taunts, gibes, vilification, barbed questions, and condemnatory rhetoric will be removed.

I don't know what else I could do save shut down altogether, which is tempting in this fractious climate, I admit, but NOT on my present agenda.
