Coney Island's Steeplechase Man. Note the resemblance to HRC?

THE DEBATE

OUR VERDICT

Trump - Boisterous
Cruz - Clamorous
Rubio - Vociferous
Christie - Loqacious
Kasich - Articulate
Carson - Judicious
Bush - Pretentious

One of two adults in the room. Who was the other?

What’s YOUR opinion?

See Saw from whore to whore.
Soon, we’ll be newly mastered,
But nothing’s ever going to change,
‘Cause each candidates is a bastard.

  1. I managed to watch most of the debate last night. Not boring! It was the best GOP debate of this crazy election cycle.

As for evaluating the debate, I'll go along with this: It's Over for Jeb, Kasich, and Carson, and I rarely align this completely with The Weekly Standard.

Each of the other candidates -- Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Christie -- certainly had powerful moments and projected the strong-man image, but Cruz not as strong as the others of the strong men. Rubio clearly has the best command of evidence to support his claims.

A little factoid I gleaned last night in the post-debate coverage...During the debate, Hillary Clinton didn't get as many hits in the social media as did Bernie Sanders.

  2. FT said this about the debate at Always On Watch:

"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people."

    ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Yes, indeed, but she should have added, "Morons waste their time and that of every one around them sneering, jeering, insulting, and casting aspersions on everyone in sight while taking pot shots at each other."

There was entirely too much BRAWLING and BAWLING last night, and nowhere near enough evidence of THOUGHT in the room.

I found it depressing that the emphasis was largely on "PERSONALITIES" with very little attention paid to specific ideas about how we might first DEFINE and then SOLVE the deadly serious problems that lie before us.

Loud, pushy, rhetoric and a lot of chest-thumping displays of too much testosterone are no help at all in making what-may-well-be the most MOMENTOUS decision of our lives.

As far as I am concerned –– a this surprised me greatly –– Governor KASICH came out as the most serious, well-informed person on the stage with a list of sound qualifications a mile long to back him up.

Dr, Carson appeared to be one of the sanest in the room, but he was nowhere near aggressive enough to have a meaningful impact on those rowdies.

FOX's obvious AGENDA was to try to goad those men into battling EACH OTHER instead of dealing intelligently with the issues. I'd be willing to bet the farm that FOX is a slave to the GOP Establishment, and would love to break Donald Trump.

Ted Cruz disappointed me. He's a brilliant, extremely informed, well-educated man, but he allowed himself to get drawn into a stupid shouting match with Trump –– a boisterous, petty, childish, vulgar display of temper that brought the proceedings down to the level of a barroom brawl.

The shouting and vying for attention seemed adolescent and did nothing to enhance the image of the Republican Party.

I thought it was the LEAST helpful yet in the entire series of Republican debates thus far.

  12. What did you think of the role FOX Business Channel in the persons of Ms. Regan and Mr. Cavuto played in this last debate?

Why do you think they deliberately avoided asking questions of Dr. Carson and Governor Kasich to the extent they did?

Was there a hidden agenda behind that, or was it just a natural occurrence?

Why did they appear to allow a loud, pointless, shockingly unruly dispute over the citizenship eligibility of Senators Cruz and and Rubio with Donald Trump take up so much valuable time?

It irritated the hell out of me, because it took the focus away from things that really matter like growing chaos and brutal hostility in the Middle East, falsified employment statistics, bogus claims of increased prestige abroad and growing prosperity at home when NINETY-FOUR-MILLION have left the work force, use of FOOD STAMPS is at record highs, the cost of so-called higher education is OBSCENE, and the stock market has declined SIXTEEN-HUNDRED POINTS since the first of the year. 38. A Sanders presidency? Possible but unlikely. His democratic socialist (not communist) positions, while gaining in popularity are not accepted by the majority of the American electorate.

America is simply not yet prepared to accept European style socialism; although social security and medicare are as socialist as socialist can be.

Bernie Sanders is a firebrand and has certainly elevated some serious national issues, opening a national discussion on center stage.

Bernie could very well be a present day George McGovern should he capture the democratic nomination. A scenario one would think the cons would welcome.

But, a Trump, Cruz, or Rubio presidency (the three most likely to advance) would be an unmitigated disaster for the nation. Anger and hate becomes a cancer on the soul and best avoided at all costs.

  57. Regarding your "technical difficulties", I will offer this for your consideration since it is something that I came across recently.

"For several years, Kaspersky Lab’s Global Research and Analysis Team (GReAT) has been closely monitoring more than 60 advanced threat actors responsible for cyber-attacks worldwide. The team has seen nearly everything, with attacks becoming increasingly complex as more nation-states got involved and tried to arm themselves with the most advanced tools. However, only now Kaspersky Lab’s experts can confirm they have discovered a threat actor that surpasses anything known in terms of complexity and sophistication of techniques, and that has been active for almost two decades – The Equation Group.

According to Kaspersky Lab researchers the group is unique almost in every aspect of their activities: they use tools that are very complicated and expensive to develop, in order to infect victims, retrieve data and hide activity in an outstandingly professional way, and utilize classic spying techniques to deliver malicious payloads to the victims.

To infect their victims, the group uses a powerful arsenal of “implants” (Trojans) including the following that have been named by Kaspersky Lab: EquationLaser, EquationDrug, DoubleFantasy, TripleFantasy, Fanny and GrayFish. Without a doubt there will be other “implants” in existence.

    Ultimate persistence and invisibility

GReAT has been able to recover two modules which allow reprogramming of the hard drive firmware of more than a dozen of the popular HDD brands. This is perhaps the most powerful tool in the Equation group’s arsenal and the first known malware capable of infecting the hard drives.

(Note: This is a question of great possibility and not necessarily a prediction) Barack Hussein Obama II, is opening the doors and welcoming the terrorists into our country to kill us. This isn't a game. Not all of these people are terrorist, but some are. Actions always speak louder than words. It is there own people among them that is destroying there own countries, and left their wives and children behind to starve, suffer and die, so they could come here and destroy our country as well!!! The war has been theirs for years and is coming here now. It's only a matter of time before the terrorist start doing the same thing in America that they did in Paris. Of course, you can be absolutely sure that the attacks will be on a much grander scale here! That is why the enemy has infiltrated the major cities, and the largest states of our country with their terrorists. Oh how soon America forgets what these terrorist have done and are continuing to do in our country and others as well. Obama seems to be biding his time until he gets as many of them here as he can. I believe the attacks will happen shortly before the election, and Obama will declare martial law which would mean he could remain in charge as long as there was resistance to him. This would give him more reasons to kill Americans and take away their arms. Is this his grand plan to aid the terrorists in taking over this country!!!

Here is an interview she did with ABC’s Sam Donaldson proving that she supported profiling of muslims after the terror attacks

    1. I wjsh you'd provided a lonk or two, but what you ay is plausible. H. Rodham Clointon is the type of person who will say ANYTHING if she thinks it might help her to get her way. Getting HER WAY is ALL she;s EVER really cared about. Those who cannot see that must be blind, deaf and dumb.

  75. You live the high life in a multi million dollar 15 room mansion. You have 3 exotic cars in your garage . You fine every night on Lobsters, Steaks, and Cavior. All this while people are starving and living in the street . Veterans are also living in the Streets, and being denied hospitalization . Our brave troops are out there away from their loved ones and getting shot at, and bring targeted by women and children. All that so you and I could be free... And you Will Smith is complaining about too many Whites winning Acadsmy awards! Suck it up cupcake!

    1. You sound an awful lot like a typical Bolshevik, Anita. That kind of egalitarian thinking is a good part of what is bringing us down.

If life were "fair," life wouldn't be life. It would, instead, be a deadly dull, continual grinding down process, until nothing would be left but the ooze and slime from which we supposedly sprang (according to the militant evolutionists, anyway ;-).

The Republican party is in full panic mode right now. As we inch closer and closer to the first presidential primaries, Donald Trump hasn’t gone away. In fact, most polls show his numbers at all-time highs. If you’re a rational Republican (yes, they do exist) you know there’s no way your party can go into 2016 with Trump as your candidate and expect to win.
Despite popular belief, Republican voter turnout would be low: Yes, the “base” will be highly enthusiastic and rabid for a “President Trump” – but almost nobody else within the party will be. Politicians with future ambitions to either extend their careers, or advance them in some other way nationally, are not going to want to risk being tied in with Trump. Not only that, I’ve spoken to more than a few moderate to fairly conservative Republican friends who’ve told me they won’t vote for him because he’ll destroy their party. As I’ve stated before, I do believe there are more than just a few Republicans who would rather see Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders elected, and focus on winning in 2020, than risk seeing Trump dismantle the GOP from within, potentially doing damage from which they might never recover.
And another thing, soes anybody really respect Sarah Palin on a political level? I know she got popular with the VP nomination that ended up bombing McCains campaign, then used her popularity to start a reality TV show, however, I hear many conservatives talking about this influence that she has... I just don't see it. Listening to her talk is like listening to a mindless robot spitting out conservative talking points to a kindergarten class. Why is Trump putting so much weight on this endorsement?? Is it because they are both Reality TV stars? Can anybody explain this?

The muslims, who leave the cesspool of the middle east to come here, aren’t off the boat ten minutes, and they complain that the laws are not sharia, that their religion is persecuted, despite everyone bending over backwards (and forwards) for them. Muslims here are looking for ways to terrorize Americans and want change to accomodate them.
We have socialists and progressives that hate America. muslims hate it…mexicans hate it…the women of NOW hate America, and on and on and on with every special interest self centered idjit who complains about how horrible this country is to them.
HELL…OUR OWN PRESIDENT AND FIRST LADY have stated without fear of reprisal, that America is a down right evil country, and that they have never been proud of it until obama came to power and could change it to something it was never meant to be…EVER!!!! And people voted overwhelmingly for these assholes, despite their unhidden feelings of hatred of America. obama can not wait to apologize to every enemy of our great country for America’s greatness. He makes sure in every one of his speeches to showcase his disdain for America and admonishes Americans for being American, like we are small children stealing candy…like he is all that is good and we are evil little ingrates who need his guidance.Everything wrong with America comes down to a growing number of people who do NOT love their homeland like you love obama They take no pride in being able to live here and they do very little to fix the things that would genuinely make life better here. All they do is whine and complain and yell for others to spend money to make THEIR lives better. How about getting off your ass and doing it your damn self. Hell, look at the grounds and the mess left after every liberal/democrat/progressive/communist function. The litter is disgusting. These people have no sense of decency or pride….THEY ARE THE PROBLEM. So I have to ask. Why the hell are these people here? Yes, many of them were born here (which they should thank their lucky stars they won the birth lottery and happened to be born on American soil). But many of them come here. Why, if all they do is say how horrible it is? They traveled half the globe to come here, and could have GONE ANYWHERE, but chose to settle here, and then complain. They could have gone anywhere else…but chose here….WHY? Because despite not being perfect, it’s still the best damn country by far. Whoever is in 2nd place, is so damn far from first, they are closet to last place than first. So, they recognize that America is the best damn place to live, but then, want all things American to change to look more like the shithole they just ran from….why is that. For the life of me I do not get this line of thinking at all.
So, instead of complaining, pitch in, and do the things that Americans do that made this country the greatest place to live. Learn the language, and become American. You can remember your ancestry and love your god, and still maintain a love for your homeland. But nope, better to be hateful and accusatory against everyone not like you. I do NOT care if you are brown, blue, yellow, green, black or white or polkdotted with plaid stripes. I do not care what you god is or how you pray to him. I ask one thing from the people that I live with, and who want to live in my homeland. That you love your chosen homeland as much as I do.l

We Americans need to do only one thing to fix this country…ONE THING. Insist that those that live here, and especially those that we have elected to govern us, LOVE AMERICA. That is the litmus test we must adhere to. Those that do not, must not be allowed to enter and if already here, made to leave. And for our politicians, love America and it’s Founding documents. Do not change the core that made this place the leader of the entire world, and in record time I might add.

The instructions for greatness were given to us and are so damn easy to follow, a caveman (or muslim) could follow them. It is a method proven to work, and we MUST stick to that
