Diane Sawyer of ABC News at Her Best

Neil Carlinsky reporting from Spokane

Be of good cheer!
kindness, consideration

are still in play here
in the good old USA
who may not yet
have seen her best day

The hen knew exactly what to do: rely on a kind human's help!

Typically duck hens don't like anyone to touch their babies. But not this time! Mother instinct told her what she needed to do to save her brood.

Great find, FT.

It is a sweet thing, FT, and that young man should be commended, but it's too bad he opened his mouth and spoke on camera. What I heard was the sound of a typical left coast leftist wimp who enthusiastically supports President Obama. He even looks a lot like that pathetic refugee from Berkeley and the Peace Corps who tried to go native with the Libyans, and got himself killed in Benghazi. Rescuing the little ducks is darling, but treating people like ducklings in need of help and understanding doesn't work.

That clip shows there still exist some decent and humanitarian folks in the world. People not operating on the Marxist anti-life ideology that duckling are to be used for their vicious ends to make "duck soup".

I did notice that the banker gentleman used a unique phrase that he was "here to help", causing me to recall President Reagan's truism about the man from the government knocking on your door with the message "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help". Thanks to Reagan even the slowest dim-witted quack should know: "The government isn't the solution to the problem—it is the problem.

Lord knows, Kate, we never need help and understanding?

Loved ya in Bringing Up Baby.
