A Thank You Note to a Good Man.
Thank you for turning aside from a life of ease and security to run for the presidency against an incumbent.
Thank you for enduring the slander of you, your family, and your faith perpetrated by a criminally negligent media.
Thank you for calling terrorism by its right name.
Thank for selecting Paul Ryan as your running mate.
Thank you -- and your lovely wife -- for demonstrating the power and beauty of true love.
Thank you for handling yourself with grace and equanimity in every situation.
Thank you for your patriotism.
Thank you for believing in America.
It is to our eternal shame that America did not at this time believe in you.

ReplyDeletecriminally negligent media.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that! The Fourth Estate has become a Fifth Column.
Good riddance.
ReplyDeletethis is lovely and proper..thanks
ReplyDeleteVery nice post FT, well said... but is that the faint air of the comment moderation Fandango I hear in the back ground?
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I like that.
ReplyDeleteWas that from a thank you card that Obama sent Mr. Ronmey?
I received this via email several times today....I thought you'd written it!! I applaud your posting it; it's so good.
ReplyDeleteAnd I had to laugh at Waylon's remark!!
Thank you for making the bobsleds run on time.

FJ, I regard you as a friend of longstanding, and would never wish to antagonize you, but you could show a little more respect for a person I obviously came to like and respect without compromising your beliefs and convictions.
ReplyDeleteMitt Romney was not my first choice. I had a premonition, as soon as he became "our" nominee, that things would turn exactly as they have. Moreover, I believe The Establishment -- i.e. the informal coalition of both parties that works not-so surreptitiously behind the scenes to ensure the defeat of Individualism, Capitalism, and Christianity -- fully INTENDED Mitt Romney to lose just as they INTENDED Jelly Ford, John McPain and Bob Dull to lose. Both the Bushes were given the green light, because THEY were fake conservatives clearly in the New World Order camp.
I'm very much afraid that Mitt Romney is one of "them" too, BUT even that should not have stopped him from being seen as an infinitely more attractive proposition then the Obamanable One.
I believe many-if-not-all New World Orderists honestly believe they are serving The Forces of Good. I see Governor Romney as one of those.
The evil geniuses who first dreamt up The Plan are another matter entirely.
At any rate, Romney, as a man, deserves our respect and gratitude if only for having behaved like a gentleman exhibiting grace under pressure.

I respect the man, but not the man's judgement. He was the wrong man for the job that needs to be done, and should have put country above personal ambition. This is NOT the time for a Bush third term. The changes we need require "vision", not "managerial finesse".
ReplyDeleteWe should have listened to Dr. Paul -- the only politician who spoke the truth -- plain and unvarnished.Hs brand of thinking could save us, but as a people we are too far gone to understand him anymore.
