Alan West Standing Tall

  1. I had occasion to meet this man face to face back in 2010. He's "the real deal"!

  2. Does anyone know how his race is going? I know he got redistricted, with much of his new district being Obama 47%'ers...

  3. I don't know, but I suspect West is toast.

We should have outlaws Gerrymandering long long ago.

The only way to ensure "fairness" would be to impose a SQUARE GRID PATTERN in each state that arbitrarily divides the territory into districts.

ALSO, voting should occur on ELECTION DAY and election day ONLY. Election day should be the first SATURDAY in November, so no one would have the excuse, "I couldn't vote, because I had to go to work."

Also candidates should not be permitted to employ "HANDLERS." Did Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Lincoln have "handlers?" I think not.

We are being MURDERED by all the calculation and manipulation.

  4. That coming from a clown who was drummed out for compromising an intelligence asset.

  5. Freethinker, why was West gerrymandered when the Republicans were drawing the districts?

Hint: The party can't stand this jerk.

  6. That Study in Black and White you linked is very striking, but is it Art?

    Ooh hoo hoo!

Yeah! I get it! I get it! I get it!

I have realized for a ling time who our true masters really are.

It must be oh so comfy cozy to be so clever as to use adversity to jockey oneself into an absolutely UNASSAILABLE position, mustn't it?

  7. You raise a good point, Ducky.

West doesn't play The Great Game. Naturally, he has to go.

  9. @ Ducky: That coming from a clown who was drummed out for compromising an intelligence asset.

Coming from a clown who could rip out your lungs and play them like bagpipes. He's seen shit you haven't even seen in piss your pants nightmares.

  10. The Real Deal v. The Metrosexual

    NO CoNTEST!

  11. Yup, Joe. Yew sho done got dat rot.

Humanity divides itself into stereotypical roles.

The play is always the same. Only the costumes, the sets and the names of the players change.

The lesson we learn from history ...

  12. Silverfiddle, you dig Eraser Head's act?

  13. Freethinker, I grew up in Southie. I'm no metrosexual.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Either one of you want to answer the question on why Eraser Head was gerrymandered when Republicans were redrawing the district?

  15. Hey Silverfiddle, who's your ideal representative, The Hulk?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ducky: I blogged about it awhile back. He was hemmed in due to gerrymander rules, and the other repub he bumped up against, can't remember who, has seniority.

Yeah, there are plenty of bed wetters in the GOP that can't handle a real man speaking the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  17. And to answer your hulk question, no.

I just find it absurd and slightly off-putting when people like you go all faux macho and call a man who could snap your neck names like "clown."

  19. Unlike Prince Romney, he is not "of the manor, born".

In other words, he's too "anti-establishment" and too likely to act on "principle" rather than "connection."

  20. UGOTIT, Thersites -- as usual, although I', much in sympathy with GENUINE "Manor Born types, which admittedly are in sort supply these days!

Old Southie up there just betrayed his peasantine roots -- as if we hadn't known from the getgo.

    Smart-but ill-bred doesn't cut it with me.

  21. POLICY STATEMENT:

We let you ask a question ONCE around here. When someone gives it a satisfactory answer (thank you, Silver), you don't get to ask it again.

    Got that?

  22. I say this from a distance, one who has no dog in this fight, but Alan West sounds like a straight shooter to me. He's not afraid to point out ugly stuff that needs the bright light of the sun shone on it....

For example when he says about 80 house Democrats are Marxists and points to the 76 members of the congressional caucus as the culprits that he means — I say HURRAH.

What in particular don't you like about this man Ducky?

    ReplyDelete
  23. This is for Ducky: " West elaborated: "I stand by the point of my comments. The press wants to write gotcha stories and talk semantics, but just look at the words and actions of the Progressive Caucus. You can call them socialist, Marxist, communist or whatever you want, but the point is, they oppose free markets and individual economic freedom, they want to redistribute wealth, and they want to see the nation fundamentally transformed. Their policies are destructive and I will stand up to them regardless of the critics. Members of this Caucus lavished praise on Fidel Castro following a 2009 visit, just to name one example. The Communist Party USA claims the Progressive Caucus as its ‘ally.’"

  24. Yes, Waylon, and it IS called The Congressional BLACK Caucus officially, so please don't be afraid to call a spade a SPADE.

    AHEM!
