Is BAIN a BANE
It all depends on your point of view. It's the former to Marxists, who hate private ownership and private control of ANYTHING (even one's own thoughts!), and who see the very IDEA of anyone's making a PROFIT as profoundly evil.
It's the latter to those who believe in Capitalism as the best system yet devised to produce wealth and raise the standard of living for the greatest number possible in any given society.
Collectivism weakens,
_____ cripples, maims and kills.
Capitalism builds,
Capitalism builds,
_____ then runs successful mills.
That neither system has produced Heaven on Earth is not a black mark against Capitalism whose track record is far superior to that of its most powerful antagonist.
HOWEVER, Capitalism untempered by Christian morality becomes rapacious and would quickly return us to a primitive dog-eat-dog state.
Without a rational concept and acceptance of Jesus Christ, as He truly is, we are NOTHING.
NOW, let us wax simplistic:
"A RISING TIDE LIFTS ALL BOATS."
Some are yachts, some are freighters, some are cruise ships, some are barges, some are dinghies, some are canoes.
Marxists keep themselves perpetually "outraged" and "indignant" that the rising tide does not transform ALL boats into YACHTS.

Marxists, you see, appear to believe that in a properly "fair and just society" all Indian tribes would consist of nothing but CHIEFS.
Etc. etc. etc.

Excellent commentary, FreeThinke.
ReplyDeleteI think you words stand on their own, you really don't need recourse to garish fonts.
You have summed up the left quite well.
A very cogent point about Bain, Freethinker. It's time to ditch that useless tide quote.
ReplyDeleteBain and their similar scum are a major element in the transformation of our financial sector into a destructive element divorced from national growth and production.
If Bain Kapital is the best capitalism can produce and you are willing to let it roll over the country then you lack any vision or faith.
There's never a right time to ditch the truth, Ducky.

Thank you for the compliment, Silver, but it's been my sad experience that most people don't bother to read anything but headlines and first sentences. Then they're off to the races with a lot of misconceptions about what has actually been said.
ReplyDeleteBecause of the well-known "ignorantization" of America by the corrupt educational establishment and the information and "entertainment" industry, people can't be reached by prose anymore no matter how well crafted. It must be "dressed up" to catch their eye, or it very likely will be ignored.
It's no accident that the country suffers from an epidemic of ADDHD. The enemedia has seen to it that the public has been INFECTED with the disease.
Surely you've noticed that everyone TALKS, but practically no one LISTENS?
Most of the comments on these blogs are little more than a series of monologues. Very rarely do people truly ENGAGE one another in true dialogue.
At any rate, wen we have something to say, we do everything possible to catch the wandering attention of whomever passes by.
Besides, it's fun to make use of some of the many graphic enhancement tools the 'puter industry puts at our disposal. Anything to keep from putting myself and others to sleep.
Have a great day!

To the real capitalists (as in laissez-faire) Bain would be a Boon.
ReplyDeleteAs most people think our mixed economy (a sad mixture of a freely manipulated and regulated economy with a large dose of governmental subsidies for those pull peddlers with enough clout) is what capitalism and free markets amount to I suspect a great many think of Bain as a Bane. In fact I'm firmly convinced this is so.
anyone who has a face that looks like Romney after age 45 has to be a fine person
ReplyDeleteafter 45 character defects start to show and can't be disguised because they're embedded in the facial features
Romney is 65 and looks like a real sweetheart
healthy, wholesome, handsome, strong and kind
