Resurrection

Cold He lay behind the heavy stone,
Hidden there with broken hands and feet.
Ruthless powers crushed His flesh and bone.
It looked to be the ultimate defeat.
Sadly, in the dawn Saint Mary’s three
Trudged toward the tomb wherein He lay.
Instead of death, an angel helped them see,
Startled, that the stone was rolled away!
A risen Jesus stood! He still drew breath!
Radiance around Him warmed the air.
In banks of lilies sweet we now see death
Stripped of terror. Life, eternal, fair,
Enjoins us all to claim His victory.
Naught could stop us save our vanity.

    1. That is OUR Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who suffered vilification, humiliation, excruciating agony and ignominious death by Crucifixion so that "whosever believeth in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life."

He cannot be hurt by our misunderstanding, lack of respect or indifference, but those who reject Him cannot help but suffer by nt embracing Him.

The mission of everyone's life should be to do his best to discover who "He" really is. Trying merely to believe in a LITERAL interpretation of the gospels is unlikely to achieve that goal.

"If with all your heart you truly seek me, ye shall ever surely find me," thus saith our God.

So, God bless you, Jersey. And may the kind-heartedness I know to be in you ultimately help you reach the joy of oneness with the Source of our Salvation.

      HAPPY EASTER!

I believe we are so troubled now, because too many of us have stopped trying to find Him, and have abandoned ourselves to cynicism, suspicion, resentment, fear and contempt instead.

Don't fret. Don't fume. Trust in the Ultimate Power of Goodness, instead, and have a HAPPY EASTER!

  4. From your "favorite" non believer... Wishing you a Blessed and Happy Easter FreeThinke.

On this holiest of Christian days, the Resurrection of Christ, perhaps reproachment is possible. Nothing must last forever. Except eternity.
