LEST WE FORGET

The Benghazi Blues

Amnesia? Aphasia? Evasia?

With no hesitation or blushin’
Her Heinous sidestepped The Discussion.
She felt testifying
Would be far too trying,
So she managed to have a concussion!

~ FreeThinke

UPDATE: We were very sorry learn this morning (January 31, 2012) that Mrs. Clinton has been hospitalized with a blood clot in an undisclosed location. Aside from her usual unappealing demeanor and bearing, she has not been looking at all well lately. We wish her a speedy recovery, and hope she has the good sense now to retire once and for all from the political arena, and give herself –– and the rest of us –– some much-needed relief. - FT

  1. Satire via limerick!

Her Heinous is a great turn of phrase, FT.

I see the concussion story as setting up a legal defense, which will be accepted by many.

  3. Maybe he forgot jut lie Saint Ronnie Raygun when he was running arms for hostages.
Watching the fringe right lather up over this reminds me how easily manipulated by rabies media they are.

  4. And reading Ducky's comments reminds me how putrid the left is.

As long as their guys have the levers of power, it's all OK.

  5. Thank you, SilverFiddle!

"Compromise" and "Bipartisanship" to the left always means knuckling under to THEIR demands and agreeing to do things THEIR way.

    Multiple standards stink.

Comparisons are usually considered odious, but false comparisons of the sort Canardo invariably raises are supremely obnoxious.

Whatever Richard Secord, Ollie North, and John Poindexter did its goal was to combat Communism.

That is an end so worthy it justifies any means fair or foul to accomplish in my never humble opinion.

The Benghazi affair is about the callousness and shocking negligence of our "higher ups" to do everything possible to protect and defend the lives of OUR personnel stationed in a volatile war-like zone.

That they have cynically manipulated the tragic event so as to confuse the public, obscure the truth and evade responsibility in order to preserve their political advantage on the eve of a presidential election should be regarded as an outrage of epic proportions.

The unwillingness of the enemedia -- and the U.S. Congress -- to purse this with the vigor and vitriolic viciousness they would surely use on any Republican who might be in power is the "real" story in this sorry affair.

The enemedia's legendary protectiveness toward liberals in -- or out of -- power is one of the more disgusting aspects of modern life.

  7. Lesson learned from Benghazi: AL QAEDA THREATENS TO KILL ANOTHER US AMBASADOR. ARE OBAMA AND HILLARY LISTENING?

  8. Good morning, AOW. As we may remember from the days of "Baghdad Bob," most of the rhetoric coming from the Middle East is nothing but bravado or empty bombast.

I am firmly convinced we have much more to fear from our own politicians on both sides of the aisle and The Western Enemedia, who aids and abets their anti-American, pro-Marxist agenda than we do from Al Quaida.

We are being slowly-but-surely murdered by our own bumbling ineptitude.

You may remember that I wrote at the time poor Chris Stevens was brutally slain, that he, himself, was something of an imbecile, carefully trained and conditioned by his leftist background (California, Berkeley, the Peace Corps, the D'Rat Party, etc.), to fancy himself capable of overcoming cultural barriers by effectively "going native." For that I was excoriated, upbraided and and all-but drummed out of the corps here in our little corner of the blogosphere. I also lost a friend I've known since 1955, who doesn't want anything more to do with me because of my "repugnant" opinion of Chris Stevens.

Well, I'm sorry, but I was right. It wasn't poor Stevens' fault, but it was the responsibility of the self-defeating intellectually aggressive forces, who operate exclusively on theory, that shaped his mentality and molded his character.

We are all held captive to these forces, which through measures both overt and insidious have come to dominate the thinking of our "brightest and best."

All of which proves that "The pen is [indeed!] mightier than the sword."

    Happy New Year!

  10. Lest anyone think I unfairly portray Hillary Regina in these pages, please let me remind him, her or it, that she has more-than-adequately revealed her true nature in literally hundreds of candid photographs AND in the content and quality of the murky, often inept, largely undistinguished, ineffectual decisions she has made throughout her largely bogus career as a crypto-Marxist.

We only put a spotlight on the truth here. If it proves to be unflattering to the left, that is not our fault.

Well the concussion story has now turned into a fake blood clot story, wot?!

Imagine Secretary Clinton's power! She can get a reputable hospital and its doctors to lie about not only a concussion, but now a blood clot! Miraviglioso!

It is instructive to observe the level of hatred and contempt you carry around inside yourselves for this woman.

Luckily, it harms her not. But makes those who denigrate her look like small-minded tosspots.

  13. Ms Shaw,

I did add this note the moment I discovered the sad news. I don't like Mrs. Clinton for every reason imaginable her unfortunate looks being the least of it. Even so, I wouldn't wish serious illness on anyone. I've HAD to deal with a blood clot, myself, and it meant six weeks in bed with in-home PT every and lots of tedious exercise. No fun.

The condition, however, is serious enough sidetrack Hillary's presidential ambitions, and I can't say that displeases me. Sorry! It's not personal, I just detest the way she thinks.

    Please note the following:

  14. The poor woman has been run off her feet putting out brush fires in far corners of the planet while lighting others to advance the agenda of President Omama and his handlers regarding establishment of global order (i.e. Global Tyranny).

She probably hasn't been able to follow the direction of Mrs. Omama to just shut up and eat her peas.

  15. FT,

I didn't understand the humor that's supposed to be in the date. Why January 31, 2011? Is there some coded message there?

Mrs. Clinton's looks have nothing to do with her ability to carry out her duties as SoS. Why bring what she looks like up at all?

I understand you and your pals here not liking her, but promoting the lie that she faked her recent concussion is about as low as the opposition can go. Except if someone also has to throw what she looks like into the nasty mixture of character assassination. Why? Isn't calling her a liar and cheat enough to satisfy yourselves--you have to insinuate she's ugly, too?

That is some heavy load of hate you guys need to carry around.

It's one thing to dislike someone's politics but quite another to slander her with such vengeance.

It reveals more about the sort of people the accusers are than it does harm to Mrs. Clinton, who always manages to look far more dignified and kindly than do her detractors.

Hope you have a healthy and peaceful 2013.

  16. Shaw,
FYI....I don't waste my time and energy hating anyone -- including Hillary Clinton.

  17. Ms Shaw,

Thank you for making me aware of the careless error in referring to today's date. It was nothing more significant than a typo.

As has often been said, it's all-but impossible -- even with extensive plastic surgery, which I don't believe Mrs. Clinton has had -- to hide one's character after the age of forty. It shows in one's eyes and facial expression.

I'll never forget a critic's remark made about Goya's portrait of The Duchess of Alba: "Even his skilled brushstrokes could not help but reveal her as a woman with a harsh and biting disposition."

There have been plenty of plain, ill-favored women in public life whose homeliness has inspired affection and loyalty instead of dislike, distrust and disapproval. Golda Meir is a prime example. Condoleezza Rice another, and Actresses Marie Dressler, Edith Evans, Edna May Oliver, Gladys Cooper, Mona Washbourne, Flora Robson, Marjorie Maine, Hattie McDaniel, Margaret Rutherford still others. Several of my school teachers -- and many many others -- would qualify as well.

As we grow older, character counts more and more while looks diminish in importance no matter what most perennially-adolescent males would tell you.

Mrs. Clinton's appearance, the flat, inexpressive, braying, bullying tone of her voice, her bad taste in fashion, her apparent neglect of personal hygiene, and her ruthless pursuit of power for the sake of wielding and holding power do not combine to make her in any way an attractive figure to those of us who remain adamantly opposed to the Marxism she has always embraced in all its many and varied forms.

She has "a glittering eye" that betrays no more emotion than the eye of a vulture -- or a serpent.

The first time I ever saw her more than twenty years ago, my blood ran cold.

What possible good you -- or anyone else -- could see in her I cannot imagine.

It must be that Parallel Universe Thing again.

  19. Doctors have said she has a blood clot in a vein that drains blood from her brain. She will recover. And Joe Lieberman says that she will be called to testify in the inquiry into the Benghazi affair.

Apparently you can't hide from "American Justice", not even if you are Hillary Clinton.

  20. We shall see, Waylon. We shall see. Her husband did a magnificent job of escaping justice, and she has been no slouch in that department, herself.

They are professional prevaricators of a very high order. That what a first class legal education can do for natural-born grifters and scoundrels.

Slippery eels oozing poison both of them.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  21. Rove and Norquist come to mind immediately, followed quickly by Romney and a large share of the rEpublican party old boys network.

It is really unfortunate that the current crop of fake conservative rEpublicans have given conservatism such a Piss poor rep. Where in the hell are today's Eisenhower, Goldwater, Buckley, Ford, and the rest of the true principled Republicans? It is no wonder the rEpublican party is indeed becoming irrelevant.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

  22. When I heard that Hillary Clinton had a blood clot found during a followup visit regarding a concussion and that she was being treated with blood thinnners, I knew that she must have developed a cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. Some basic information about that kind of blood clot can be found at the foregoing link and includes information about prognosis.
