The bottom line is that we are losing our American culture and our entire nation to a group of socialist politicians and a bias media who is on the payroll of a rich old Marxist and a pack of lawless sycophants running wild in our streets some burning and looting, and some carrying vulgar signs and wearing Pussy Hats.
ReplyDeleteBoth undermining our Laws and destroying our country at their expense.

DeleteYes, you are right, Tom.
DeleteIn used to believe in unfettered Freedom of Expression, but now I am not s sure, because I have come to realize that vicious, ideological perverts with traitorous ambitions –– many of them soft-spoken now, clean-shaven, well-groomed, and dressed in respectable-looking garb –– present such an enormous challenge to refute in polite, intelligent debate, that they almost literally use up all the oxygen in a given space. This completely exhausts and enervates those of us who love our country and wish it to survive intact, but lack the demonic cleverness of our most virulent antagonists.
Most of US are too involved performing REAL work, taking time to LOVE and CARE FOR our families, enjoy our friends, use spare ti]me to work for churches, the Masons, service-oriented clubs and organizations such as the Boy Scouts, and keep our properties and communities well-tended, attractive and inviting that we don't have TIME to combat those who spend nearly ALL their time trying to DEFAME, DISCREDITY, UNDO and DESTROY everything we love and strive to support, encourage and enhance.
How to deal effectively with the merchants of ALIENATION and SEDITION and still maintain maximum liberty for ourselves, our friends and allies is possibly THE most important issue we need to address.

DeleteRental Cars for Michelle O’s Kyoto Visit Cost $78,741
ReplyDeleteGET THIS ONE!
Our Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s visit to a Buddhist Temple in Kyoto is costing taxpayers nearly $80,000 for rental cars ALONE! According to a government contract, that was made by our FORMER President.
Mrs. Obama, who is travelling to Japan and Cambodia for a girls’ education initiative, will arrive in Kyoto, Japan, on Friday.
According to the White House press office, “The First Lady will travel to Kyoto on March 20 and visit the Kiyomizu-Dera Buddhist Temple and the Fushimi Inari Shinto Shrine. She will also greet staff from the U.S. Consulate in Osaka.”
Fushimi Inari Shinto is a shrine dedicated to a god of rice. Visitors of the temple can pay to go into a pitch-black basement that symbolizes the womb of Buddah’s mother.
The temple also features the Otowa Waterfall, which has streams to cause “longevity, success at school, and a fortunate love life.”
The cost for “Rental Vehicles for Flotus in Kyoto” is $78,741, according to a contract signed last week.
Mrs. Obama is promoting “Let Girls Learn,” an initiative by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) that is spending $231.6 million for education programs in Nigeria, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Jordan, and Guatemala.
The Left is now loudly proclaiming that President Trump's trips back forth from Washington, DC to New to New York and Mar-a-Lago have so far cost us taxpayers over ELEVEN MILLION dollars.
DeleteIf so, that makes the sums you mention seem paltry by comparison, but with the positive GENIUS the propaganda machines of both parties –– but PARTICULARLY those of the Left –– demonstrate for LYING with SELECTED FACTS and OMMITTING FACTS that mar their favored narrative I doubt very much that the public is EVER permitted to know the WHOLE TRUTH abut ANYTHING.
I'd rather bed down with a COBRA, or a starving TIGRESS than I would trust ANYTHING disseminated by the ENEMEDIA or ANY Government Agency.
The truth is just not IN these people. In fact I doubt they'd be capable of recognizing the truth if it bit them on the cheek.
On the surface, it would seem like the GOP as it's strongest yet, but I would argue it's best days, for what they were worth, were in the 90's and 2000's. If it weren't for clever gerrymandering, there wouldn't be a GOP majority in the House now. When it comes to registered voters, the GOP is heavily over-represented in the House and at many state Houses and Senates. Trump, and Hillary in a strongly negative way, brought a wave of Republicans along this election, an election that most observers thought would see at least the Senate go to the Dems again. The next mid-term is stacked in favor of the GOP as well. After that, all bets should be off. It depends on what happens to the country over the next four years. Then we may well be missing Ol' Barry and his Pen, begging to bring an end to the madness!
ReplyDeleteOr... Trump surprises us all and forces the GOP to do some actually good things. I find that difficult to believe given his actions thus far. He seems to think he can bring back the 1950's. As much as many would like that, history doesn't work that way.
JMJ
While it's true that water always flows downhill –– never up –– governmental policies don't work quite that way, Jersey. Thats why we have constant debate among legislators, and why we have winners and losers from opposing camps that never remain in one place or the other very long.
DeleteThe Founders kew that POWER. ITSELF, is a dangerous, potentially evil thing, and should not remain too long in any one set of hands. The system they devised consisting of THREE CO-EQUAL BRANCHES each independent of the others is the best method yet of avoiding the Tyranny of the Majority and that of entrenched Demagoguery.
Unfortunately, "Progressives" and the anarchists and crypto-Marxists who followed soon in their wake took it upon themselves to subvert and circumvent the Constitution in order to work THEIR will on the country, and that is why things have been getting increasingly confused, disturbing and infuriating for the past hundred years.
Gerrymandering works both ways. It just depends which party is in power. If it were up to me I'd impose a simple GRID PATTERN over the entire country and let the Devil take the hindmost. I think you might be surprised at how well that would work out for us Common Men. ;-)
While the Electoral College is enshrined in the Constitution –– and for very good reason –– Gerrymandering is NOT. I've never liked or approved of the practice, even when it happens to work to the advantage of my preferred candidates.
I don't approve of MEDDLING and MANIPULATION which is just about ALL we have gotten from politicians since the Progressive Era, and more lately from the corrupt, hopelessly biased, thorough dishonest ENEMEDIA since shortly after JFK was assassinated.
The problem, as I see it, with this argument, is that it's assuming progressives and liberals have had any real power in this country in many years. In many ways, we were far more progressive in the 50's than we are now! That's why the Blue Collars love Trump. The trouble is, Trump has no way to do anything big, like the GI Bill or the IHA, with the GOP in power. But it's the only way to get the class mobility moving again. And man do we ever need that...
DeleteI was watching Trump give a rally tonight. It was in Florida. It was a sack of vacuous nonsense and attacking the "media" (the f'n irony there, for this product of the "media" is completely lost on him). The crowds roared! Some guy got up from the crowd and said nothing of any value. Lee Greenwood got a royalty check for writing the single worst song ever written.
It was sad. It was a whole bunch of regular folks who have all the hopes riding on this man.
They do not understand the separation of powers. They are not media savvy. They do not know their history or understand most of their laws and constitution. They are tuning in to whatever they want hear, in this age of niche-marketing, and nothing else gets in. We are de-culturalizing, becoming these niches now.
But with gerrymandering? That's going to come back to bite the GOP just as it did the Dems, the inventors of that horrible practice, and for horrible reasons then too - to divide the people. You won't find any major media covering that, aside from NPR and such, if that's "major" anymore (it's not).
I like a grid idea, but the districts should be sized and shaped in the grid, by population. That would bring people together. The Senate I think should remain as it is. I don't like it, but without it, we'd just have something else like it. The House is just too rambunctious with it's incessant electioneering. I HATE the 2 year term. I've always been on the fence but leaning toward getting rid of the electoral college. And, as you know, I can't stand the very notion of "states rights."
JMJ
I live in Maryland, the most gerrymandered state in the union as the city of Baltimore must be split into four Congressional Districts to ensure Democrats control everything. Don't lecture ME on gerrymandering.

DeleteJERSEY,
DeleteDo you realize you have revealed yourself to be REJECTIVE of the CONSTITUTION and of the Founder's Vision when you say you "can't stand the very notion of State's Rights?"
Life is ALWAYS very challengng for EVERYONE, even under the BEST of circumstances, and it's likely ALWAYS to REMAIN so. Your idea that the heavily increased power of the CENTRAL GOVERNMENT brought about by Hegelian-Marxian-Fabian-Progressuve-Liberal-Communitarian-STATIST thinking brought more favorable circumstances to the Common Man is absolute BUNCOMBE (bunk).
What you seem to favor is heavily weighted against the tremendous opportunities for PERSONAL ADVANCEMENT that MAXIMUM LIBERTY for the INDIVIDUAL made possible BEFORE the LEFT began its ruthless, relentless, shamelessly belligerent campaign to turn us into an TOTALITARIAN-SOCIALIST STATE.
The Founders did not predict how the "states" would eventually be drawn up. They envisioned "states" as naturally occurring. That they would grow from those who settled and did business there into "natural states."
DeleteThat's not what happened. The country grew insanely rapidly, and a bunch of lines were drawn mostly for commercial reasons or handling the natives, and the settlers and businesses came later. Most of these "states" are sparsely populated, have little diversity of commerce or industry or peoples, and are heavily over-represented in Washington DC. The Founders saw "states" as large communities, but later governments realized "states" could be used to grab power at the federal level - the exact opposite of what the Founders had in mind.
But I digress. I disagree with the Founders on the issue on the face of it. States are not people, so they should have no rights. Only people, and perhaps animals and nature, should have rights.

Thanks.

DeleteCan anyone tell me why we should allow this flood of these so-called “refugees” from these countries where they want us all dead, and keep on shouting “ Death to America” while we keep on throwing them our Foreign Aid dollars?
ReplyDeleteThe Mercy Freaks and Grievance Junkies want us not to consider anything but the sad plight of Middle Easterners. They, apparently, believe we should sacrifice OURSELVES, our CHILDREN, your WEALTH, and the FUTURE of our CIVILIZATION to accommodate the crying needs of the entire world.
DeleteThose who INFLUENCE these well-meaning-but-incredibly-foolish people are EVIL GENIUSES who devised an agenda more than a century ago DETERMINED to CONFUSE, DESTABILIZE, WEAKEN and ultimately DESTROY US from WITHIN.
These "Evil Geniuses," have such hatred in their hearts for CHRISTIANITY and the generally salubrious CUSTOMS and MORES it fostered they are more than willing to denigrate, deprive, torture, –– and even MURDER –– THEMSELVES and all the REST of us for SHEER SPITE –– or so it looks to me.
Do you know enough history to be able to IDENTIFY these people I have labeled "Evil Geniuses?"
Who has been largely responsible for sowing the seeds of the mentality that fostered our drive toward Willful Self-Destruction?
Sorry FT, but that "Tom" wasn't me, the real Tom.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't get into that Identity Confusion nonsense. that sees so popular and too often takes over at OTHER blogs.
DeleteI can only evaluate each comment from its CONTENT.
There have been times when I've thought it might produce more intelligent results if we identified ourselves only by NUMBER.
ReplyDeleteWhy do Liberals complain so much, but they really don't do anything productive to correct the problems?
They are always complaining about this great country of ours, the flag, the National Anthem, about the word God, about the Military, and of course and Republicans ..
Killing Jews, and Christians, and throwing Gays off of Roof Tops is acceptable to them!
DeleteDon't forget the total subjugation of the FEMALE SEX by forcing them to wear BURKAS, undergo clitorectomies, and the charming, ever-present threat of Honor Killings where women –– and often CHILDREN –– can be buried up their necks in sand, and ritually STONED and STOMPED to DEATH by an entire community.
DeleteNever forget for an instant that these are LOVELY PEOPLE.
The Obamanite loyalists who still exist in the United States government need to be the first scum to drain down the tubes as we begin to drain the swamp!
ReplyDeleteThe biggest problem we face in America today is not only Radical Islam, but “The Enemy Within”.
The Democrats apparently hate Donald J. Trump, very much like we Conservatives HATED Barrack Obama.
Mr. President .please get that scummy swamp drained and do it as soon as possible.
The Democratic Party to all intents and purposes has transformed itself into the American de-facto-COMMUNIST Party. That many Democrats don't realize this, and refuse to identify themselves as what they in fact ARE, does not change the fact of their essentially MARXIAN,
DeleteCOLLECTIVIST, FALSELY EGALITARIAN orientation.
This transformation began in earnest in the early 1930's with FDR and his SCREW DEAL, but the seeds were sown long before when the blighted ideology promoted by Karl Marx, his followers, Laborites and the Fabian Socialists in England, who advocated their own peculiar brand of Marxism-LITE, tapped into the ENVY, RESENTMENT, and DREAMS of GETTING EVEN simmering beneath the surface among the servant-class, coal miners, and the factory workers. Activists and Rabble-Rousers by ceaselessly exacerbating these tensions began to exert real influence on the weak-minded, fools, and the dreamy-eyed fantasists who allowed themselves to be persuaded to feel GUILT at their good fortune.
Once that started we were off to the races.
I'd bet that the Commiesvjust love watching these filthy lefties smash windows and burn cars. It Gives them hope that The Great Unwashed would one day overtake this one time great county.

Think of the vast difference between the AMERICAN and FRENCH revolutions.
DeleteOuts was principled, and was motivated by a POSITIVE, remarkably well thought out agenda. The French were motivated by an uncontrolled blood lust for VENGEANCE.
JUSTICE and VENGEANCE ought never to be confused with one another.
The RUSSIAN Revolution too was innately vicious –– another frightful, barbaric, hate-based Insult to Humanity all about REVENGE fueled by BLOOD LUST.
Suffering was acute in all three, but our brave, brilliant, remarkably unselfish Founders handed us a splendid legacy for their immense sacrifice.
