_____ A CHANGE of PACE _____

Think of something gentle
Think of something kind
Dwell today on something not designed
To make you lose your mind.

Think of something pretty
Think of something soft
Take time away each day from Microsoft
And soar aloft

Where Spirit reigns in Bliss
Away from all the Madness
Where Kindness ever dissipates the Sadness
In the Realm of Gladness

~ FreeThinke

  1. When I want to dream away, I think of relaxing on a a warm Tropical Beach lined with Palm trees.

  2. What please me the most is not what we were talking about, is it?

    1. That's what the POST is about, so I assumed you were responding accordingly. All of us are different when it comes to what we like and dislike, what we hope for, and what we dread. That's what makes the world such an interesting place.

      Have a good afternoon.

    1. Is THAT the vision that pleases you most? ;-)

If so, I imagine you have a lot of company, myself included, but I shan't believe it till I her dead and buried with a stake driven through her chilly heart.

In all honesty I'd rather see her INCINERATED. We'd be safer then, I'm sure.

But surely Her Heinous does not qualify as anything LOVELY by even the wildest stretch of the imagination.

Is the nothing more agreeable that would please you as much or more than Hildabeast's disappearance from the political arena?

    2. Not till after her ashes are scattered --preferably to the four winds directly above either the North or the South Pole. };-)>

  4. BTW, 1) Who cares and 2) wrong thread.

The serenity of solitude that allows time for reflection, it matters not where. But, given a choice it would be a field of flowers, trees, among rolling hills on a warm and breezy summer afternoon.

    1. I'm afraid I don't understand your first sentence, Gandolf, but I agree with the rest of your statement. My personal preference runs to walled English gardens divided into outdoor 'rooms" paved with mossy old stones, a beautiful fountain, a Graeco-Roman style folly or two, and well tended herbaceous borders backing up to a private forest.

A nice kitchen garden in a large courtyard with herbs, seasonal vegetables, and espaliered fruit trees on the ancient stuccoed walls would be most agreeable as well.

And of course, a wrought iron conservatory furnished with antique wicker off the drawing room filled with vines in hanging baskets, a variety of begonias, orchids, camellias, gardenias, citrus trees, an avocado tree and at least two banana plants.

  5. Nice, certainly ideal for reflection and to clear ones head of distracting trivial concerns.

As for my first sentence; I thought it quite clear. My apology.

Think spiritual not confined by religious dogma and the traditions of men or women. Hence my statement it matters not where.

  6. Great picture, "Cherry Blossoms on Canal"... do you know where it is?

  7. Yesterday, the D.C. area finally emerged from this miserable winter. People were out and about! So were Mr. AOW and I: we met with some of my relatives, went to PetSmart (where it was Pet Adoption Day, so we got to pet dogs and cats galore), and drove around a bit just for fun.

Can't wait for the spring blossoms to pop!

  8. Boy...that is one lame ass poem. Still waiting for your poetic rendition of climate change. The Science Dept awaits.
