... NOTICE ...

Your Prayers are Needed

JERSEY McJONES

Our Beloved Friend and Favorite Antagonist is Gravely Ill and Fighting for His Life in a Battle with
Metastatic Cancer.

We ask those of you who pray please to pray for his recovery, and the well-being of his wife and family.

We ask those who do not believe in the power of prayer please to take a few moments each day
to send your kindest thoughts
and fondest hopes his way.

Right Now the Guy Needs All the Help He Can Get. The Least We Could Do Would Be to Consider Him and Hope for His Return to Good Health in Our Thoughts and Prayers.

THANK YOU

FreeThinke

  1. Metastatic cancer is one of the most evil of diseases.

Kind of you to post this plea, FT.

    1. Since I've troubled myself to get fairly close to the situation, I felt I had no choice but do at least this much. I wish I had the power to do more,
but we'll have to leave that to Almighty God, the Utimate Authority in Everything that matters..

It salves my conscience a bit, of course, but much better than that I know both Mr.and Mrs Jersey feel and uplifted by any show of sincere good will and friendly concern.

I urge everyone to keep praying and keep hoping. This can't be just a One Shot Deal. The crisis is ongoing, and lkey to reamin so for the foreseeable future.

    1. Me too, Thersites. Jersey is that rarity of rarities –– a Lovable Liberal.

It's been a real pleasure getting to know him –– and his wife –– "behind the scenes," as it were.

    1. Faced with a common enemy, –– and cancer is certainly that to all mankind, DD ––, it's amazing how we are able to set aside our differences and do what we can to help each other,

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

  6. I've been praying daily ever since we found out. I guess I need to pray harder. As I told him, he's stubborn and he has an optimistic outlook, and those are two important factors in his favor.

    1. Yes, and his having been transferred to one of the finest hspitals in the state –– albet it very late –– is a hopeful sign. It means the doctors believe he has at least a fightung chance. But the sttuation os very grave, indeed, Silver.

Thank you for your concern and your prayers.

  7. If I may I'd suggest something different than prayer, and since the recommended treatment of slice and dice and slash, burn and poison hasn't led to the promised land of "curing cancer", that maybe there are other avenues to pursue.

This man, Ty Bollinger does offer a door to some possible solutions.

    1. Thank you, Waylon, for that information that thinks "outside the box." I shall pass it on to Jersey, but his condtion has become so acute I'm not sure he's capable of taking in ny new information right now, but it may help his wife, who is an awfully nice gal,.

      Thanks again.

  8. I apologize for my absence, friend. It seems someone thought they had better use for my gmail account than I do. I was hacked.
My prayers are with Jersey and his loved ones. I also added him to our prayer chain. I am so sorry to hear this.

    1. No aoologies needed,Andie. I've jjust been worried about YOU, and have wondered why no one but I has posted to your latest blog item in over a month?

I'm relieved to learn that YOU are all right, Andie, so thanks for stopping by –– and thanks for putting Jersey on your prayer chain.

I KNOW prayer helps, just as I now that aggressive atheism tears down confidence, and fosters the pernicious belief that life is just a hopeless process that grinds you down –– a losing battle –– a game no one can hope to win –– and therefore, not worth living.

Atheists will deny this, of course but I've never known one who was not cynical, mad at the world, shallow, and hollow inside –– even when they make a great show, as they often do, of being ethical, responsible citizens.

    1. Thank you, Z. I now the effort is much appreciated. Kind thoughts and good wishes are not empty things when they are sincere. I believe they can actually travel irrespectivenof disance and time to reach the hearts of those who need encouragement, support, love and understanding. Don't ask me how, but I believe the Holy Spirit fills and gives life to every atom of the Cosmos.

    1. Not yet. I am "in the loop," but Jersey's wife is going through a tremendous ordeal right now, –– as you can well imagine. All we can do is pray and hope for the best.

Any show of loving concern and support I could report to the McJones family would be the best thng any of us could do. That and trusting in the infinite wisdom and power of almighty God to bring about the best possibe resolution of the crisis.

    1. Thank you, Lisa. Jersey may be a liberal, but unlike many on that side of the Great Divide, he's a thoroughly good egg.

  14. FreeThinke, I'm giving the heads up on my Wordpress blog Mystere's Moonbat Spanker and on another one that I manage. I also hope he sees the Grace And Mercy that Jesus Christ wishes to extend to him and takes Him up on His offer. I noticed a comment on Lisa's blog hoping Jersey or his wife can be the 200th reply on Lisa's current post. I will also post a notice on Mystere's Moonbat Slayer Club and give a heads up to other bloggers who may have heard of Jersey McJones.

    1. Thank you. Mystere. Every kind, decent, charitable thought helps even if it does not "cure" a bad situation. I've called a couple of times in the past two days to try to find out how Jersey is doing. I've also emailed, but so far have heard nothing.

I continue to hope that "no news is good news," but I still would like to know for sure
