COMEY GETS the AXE!

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT IT,
and WHY?

65 comments:

  1. The firing of FBI Director Comy came days after he testified on Capitol Hill about Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state and the FBI’s investigation into Russian election interference. And had nothing at all to do with “ANY” investigation of Donald Trump, because there wasn’t any such inventions going on.
Comey had already said that there was NO evidence of any collusion with the Russians!
James Clapper the former Head of National Intelligence also said that there is no evidence that President Trump colluded with Russia,

Comey incorrectly testified that former Clinton aide Huma Abedin “forwarded hundreds and thousands” of emails to her husband’s laptop, including some with classified information. On Tuesday, the FBI informed the Senate judiciary committee that only “a small number” of the thousands of emails found on the laptop had been forwarded there, while most had simply been backed up from electronic devices.

In a recent interview, Clinton partly blamed Comey’s letter in late October notifying Congress that the FBI was studying the emails on the laptop, for costing her the presidential election.

Comey had also been criticized and rightly so for holding a press conference last July in which he said Clinton would not be charged but criticised her as “extremely careless”. The move was seen as infringing on the role of the Justice Department and Attorney General, and NOT for the Director of the FBI. Director is supposed to be impartial, which Comey was not.!
A perfect example of Democratic Hypocrisy

Trump accused Schumer of hypocrisy. He fired back on Twitter: “Cryin’ Chuck Schumer stated recently, “I do not have confidence in him (James Comey) any longer.”. But is seems that now that the shoes on the other foot, Chucky boy is very angry!

  2. Once again, President Trump doing the job President Obama failed to do.

Comey should have been fired after his disgraceful and weird press conference last summer, where he tried to play investigator (his only role), prosecutor (laying out a case for conviction) and judge (deciding Hillary should be let off the hook).

Lynch's JustUs gang had clearly de-pantsed him, and what he should have done was turn over the evidence to Lynch and resign, or shut his mouth and press on.

Obama's JustUs was never going to allow Comey to present the evidence to a grand jury, so it was all a farce, Comey got rolled, so he came out in that bizarre press conference and bashed Hillary, and then let her off the hook.

His drama queen histrionics late in the election was another bizarro episode. He is clearly an unstable drama queen with delusions of grandeur and/or a messiah complex.

    Good riddance.

The real spectacle is how the Infotainment Media Complex is egging on the leftwing loonies and whipping them into an extra-outraged, super-duper angry froth.

      EXACTLY!

As you said, it is the FBI's job to collect evidence. It is NOT the FBI's job to determine "criminal intent."

  4. Well, it's odd. As usual, Trump does something unexpected. It makes him look pretty bad. Especially with the news Comey was asking for more resources to dedicate to the Russian election interference investigation, and apparently some Trump campaign people, perhaps some still around him, are apparently under the microscope. So, the timing here was weird to say the least. I'll tell ya', though, had Obama, or a President Hillary Clinton, done some of these same things Trump has done, the Right would be screaming for their heads!

    3. Well, you may have noticed I did not accuse Trump of anything other than political bad timing. Personally, I think the "makes me nauseous" comment Comey made on the Hill probably was the last straw. Trump apparently doesn't like Comey, personally. Trump is an impulsive man, he is not a good judge of character or particularly knowledgeable, and so he's taking bad advise. Firing Comey at this time was probably not a good move, and certainly not smart. And if there is anything to hide, this ain't gonna help keep it hidden!

      I agree!

Let Congress investigate Trump's "Russia connection." Congress has that purview. I think that they won't find any such connection, but they are certainly within their Constitutional powers to look.

      Delete
    5. And just who is going to orchestrate that investigation, Mitch McConnell?
This has all become political theater and you are going to pay for Benghazi, Benghazi,Benghazi. Trying to turn the focus on Clinton is going to fail.

What is this administrations connection to the Russian government. Simple question and it's going to be answered. The issue has a life of its own and Trump has a lot of enemies even within his party.

      Delete
    6. Duck,
Yes, the question is going to be answered.

Comey's request for more funding for the investigation and his quickly subsequent firing looks bad. No doubt about it. But "bad optics" is proof of nothing.

So far, there is no proof of that for which Trump's enemies so devoutly hope.

  6. WHEN PEOPLE ASK WHY COMEY WAS FIRED: "Mr. Trump sacked Mr. Comey on the advice of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, a former U.S. Attorney with a straight-up-the-middle reputation who was only recently confirmed by the Senate. In a memo to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Mr. Rosenstein cited Mr. Comey’s multiple breaches of Justice Department protocol in his criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified material."
THE FBI isn’t supposed even to confirm or deny ongoing investigations, but in July 2016 Mr. Comey publicly exonerated Mrs. Clinton in the probe of her private email server on his own legal judgment and political afflatus. That should have been the AG’s responsibility, and Loretta Lynch had never recused herself.

Talk about a letdown....I watched the whole thing and damn near fell asleep. It was much more fun watching the Giraffe giving birth for 4 days! She reminded me of a 15 year of who was insulted by his teacher , and wants revenge. How stupid canshe get? What was she thinking? Did she really think that she was to to bring Donald Trum to his knees? What did she accomplis? ? What did she "reveal"?....She had absolutely no idea what she was talking about! Personal attacks, and Fake stories are all the Weasels ever have.. As expected, she was not telling the full truth about Donald Trumps contacts with Russian ambassador to the US Sergey Kislyak.

Both White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and press secretary Sean Spicer have asserted that Yates passed along information about which the White House counsel checked out and found nothing. There is no Russian and Trump collusion and the left wing nuts are going crazy trying to keep the fake story alive.
It's kind of pathetic that all these Trump haters ever have is insults, conspiracy theories, and fake news stories.

I got to view the page without a problem.

      Whatever.

Here is the bulk of the page:

But even before the 2016 campaign, the FBI endured a number of humiliations under Comey's tenure. Most damning were revelations that the FBI was generally aware of almost every terrorist who successfully struck America over the last eight years.

Here are 10 of Comey's biggest embarrassments at the FBI:

      1. Before he bombed the Boston Marathon, the FBI interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev but let him go. Russia sent the Obama Administration a second warning, but the FBI opted against investigating him again.

      2. Shortly after the NSA scandal exploded in 2013, the FBI was exposed conducting its own data mining on innocent Americans; the agency, Bloomberg reported, retains that material for decades (even if no wrongdoing is found).

      3. The FBI had possession of emails sent by Nidal Hasan saying he wanted to kill his fellow soldiers to protect the Taliban -- but didn't intervene, leading many critics to argue the tragedy that resulted in the death of 31 Americans at Fort Hood could have been prevented.

      4. During the Obama Administration, the FBI claimed that two private jets were being used primarily for counterterrorism, when in fact they were mostly being used for Eric Holder and Robert Mueller's business and personal travel.

      5. When the FBI demanded Apple create a "backdoor" that would allow law enforcement agencies to unlock the cell phones of various suspects, the company refused, sparking a battle between the feds and America's biggest tech company. What makes this incident indicative of Comey's questionable management of the agency is that a) The FBI jumped the gun, as they were indeed ultimately able to crack the San Bernardino terrorist's phone, and b) Almost every other major national security figure sided with Apple (from former CIA Director General Petraeus to former CIA Director James Woolsey to former director of the NSA, General Michael Hayden), warning that such a "crack" would inevitably wind up in the wrong hands.

      6. In 2015, the FBI conducted a controversial raid on a Texas political meeting, finger printing, photographing, and seizing phones from attendees (some in the group believe in restoring Texas as an independent constitutional republic).

      7. During its investigation into Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified material, the FBI made an unusual deal in which Clinton aides were both given immunity and allowed to destroy their laptops.

      8. The father of the radical Islamist who detonated a backpack bomb in New York City in 2016 alerted the FBI to his son's radicalization. The FBI, however, cleared Ahmad Khan Rahami after a brief interview.

      9. The FBI also investigated the terrorist who killed 49 people and wounded 53 more at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Fla. Despite a more than 10-month investigation of Omar Mateen -- during which Mateen admitting lying to agents -- the FBI opted against pressing further and closed its case.

      10. CBS recently reported that when two terrorists sought to kill Americans attending the "Draw Muhammad" event in Garland, Texas, the FBI not only had an understanding an attack was coming, but actually had an undercover agent traveling with the Islamists, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi. The FBI has refused to comment on why the agent on the scene did not intervene during the attack.

Glaucon: "Yeah But! But! Trump's dangerous. He's imposing a dictatorship!"

Mr. S: "Oh, so he sent his jackboots into FBI headquarters and ransacked the place, destroying all the evidence and truncheoning a few unlucky agents, and dragging off a few more as a warning to the rest?

Glaucon: "Well... No. This is America..."

Mr. S: "What kind of dictator just cans somebody and then leaves them free to talk, leaves all the incriminating evidence?"

Glaucon: "I have to go march now"

Mr S: (shouting as Glaucon rushes out the door) "And what's with that ridiculous pink hat with the cat ears?"

  15. I think that the Democrat Base is Confused
I don't know who are the bigger hypocrites, the liberals who were calling for Comey to be FIRED, then, or the ones wanting Trump to be impeached now
Have you noticed the Democrats/Liberals on this Facebook are all Crying Crocodile Tears After Comey was fired?
Yes, I’m a bit confused, are these Liberals Political Opportunists ore they just Hypocrites, or Both!
Just months ago they were demanding that Comey be fired. Now they want to impeach Trump for doing just that!
It was just last week that Hillary Clinton DIRECTLY blamed former FBI Director James Comey for one of the MAJOR reasons for her disastrous performance that resulted to her loss in the Presidential election:

It was her that said... “I was on the way to winning until THE COMBINATION OF JIM COMEY’S letter and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me but got scared off — and the evidence for that intervening event is, I think, compelling [and] persuasive.” Spoken by The FORMER Presidential Candidate, Hillary Clinton

Large numbers of Democrat leaders have echoed varying political levels offered their disgust with Comey since last year.

One after another, from the top down, Democrats have dumped all over Comey. Up to only a week ago Democrat elected officials were still spitting poison at Comey up until he was fillaly Fired by the President of the United States, who has every right to do so..

It was Up-Chuck Schumer who said..."I do not have confidence in him any longer."

And it was Rep. Maxine Waters who said..."The FBI director has no credibility."

Hank Johnson said..."My confidence in the FBI director's ability to lead this agency has been shaken."

Steve Cohen said “ I called on FBI Director James Comey to resign."
Nancy Pelosi has said Comey “may not be the right man for the job.”
Harry Reid told reporters, “It’s time for Comey to resign” and demanded the Senate investigate him.
Bernie Sanders said that it “would not be bad thing for the American people” if Comey resigned.

Maxine Waters, went so far as to use their official congressional web site to accuse Comey of playing into the Russian's hands. You would think Maxine would be glad Trump fired Comey. But no, Maxine saw this as yet another opportunity to blindly attack Trump and demand he be removed from office.

The flip flop is so extreme you might expect Dems to have whiplash!

Chuckie Schumer also said...., “I have lost all confidence in Comey” and he is now demanding a Special Prosecutor!
Every single Democratic party leader had expressed the same distrust in Comey — and have done so repeatedly.
These Democrats don’t want you to think they want you to be outraged and to listen to
them. Since the firing, liberals have thrown every nasty accusation they can at Trump, they think that they can bring Trump to his knees, but that Just Ain’t Gonna Happen.

  17. Attributing Comey's firing exclusively to the investigation into the Trump/Russia connection, as the media focuses on exclusively is sickening. There was definitely a Russian/Clinton connection that seems to have escaped the sensitivities of the media folks.

Comey may have waffled too much. He'd likely have fared better being honest but that may be almost impossible in the corruption capital of the world—Washington D.C.

Comey had the look of a beaten dog in media appearances. He may have been caught in the middle of two political warring camps. And he paid the price.

And this idea of Russia influencing the outcome of the American election? I say if they did—GOOD! It's about time American political interference in foreign elections had some sort of pay back.

After 8 years of russia running all over the obarry administration, now they are a huge problem.

  28. And Get This!
Chuckie Schumer wants the President to appoint five special prosecutors to investigate the Comey firing!
I Say, by all means, let the Games begin! Appoint the 5 investigators!
One to investigate foreign influence in the American political process: inclusive of the 2016 election, foreign money flows to the Clinton Foundation and their foreign influence in arranging to purchase 20% of American uranium production. Let us look at the activities of the Clinton-clique in their foreign dealings as well as those potentially involving the Trump Administration.
One to investigate the Clinton e-mail server and ALL those who used this server to transact both personal and government business, inclusive of destroying documents, obstruction of justice, and perjury before various government bodies.
One to investigate unconstitutional gun-running to Islamic terrorists and the aftermath of Benghazi; and the botched FBI non-investigation investigation that allegedly produced few results.
One to investigate leaks of classified information, inclusive of WikiLeaks, by American sources. Since this information would be classified, there should be no special exemption for media sources.
One to investigate any corruption, malfeasance, stonewalling, or errors within the DOJ/FBI regarding the various serious scandals and undue influence by any political party, candidate, or officeholder.
And while we are at it, why not investigate Chuck Schumer for alleged past political corruption in the failure of the Indy Mac Bank; the one where Schumer’s interference caused a bank run and the key players that made millions all were known to be Schumer contributors. One, Steve Mnuchin, a high-ranking official in the Trump Administration with connections to George Soros, a Schumer supporter. First, Schumer was against Comey’s actions, then flip-flopped to defend him if it meant disparaging Trump or the Trump Administration.
Let these prosecutors be totally independent – including no partisan staffers, especially attorneys from the same old revolving door lobbying firms. All investigatory materials to be presented to a special court master in case of delays, interference, and other shenanigans.

  29. For there to exist any possibility of arriving at the TRUTH the appointment of a special prosecuter is a necessity.

Those who believe differently are merely willfully ignoring reality.

  30. Well, well, well...

    The not-so-viral Comey firing:

Despite the wall-to-wall media coverage, most Americans — according to Facebook interactions — cared less about James Comey being fired than other big moments so far in the Trump administration. SocialFlow evaluated the Facebook reach of articles on major flashpoints by more than 300 news organizations within a few days of the event. Here's what they found...

    The link offers a chart.

The Comey firing is a manufactured "crisis." See Alinsky.
