Bruce Jenner becoming a woman? He's gonna make one ugly woman, IMO.
ReplyDeleteIn my view, the most important story on the list for long-term implications is the one about Sharyl AttAttkisson. One administration establishes a precedent, and the next will follow suit. The one about the Dem staffers is equally disturbing on the same level.

DeleteI was tempted to categorize the Jenner story as frivolous, and flip it off as the most absurd, but then it occurred to me we should want to know and a leas try to understand what pressures brought him to commit to such a radical course of action? After all, he's SIXTY-FIVE, the father of several middle-aged children, wealthy, famous, well-built, good looking, and was a great Olympic Champion in his day.

Unless, like Bill Clinton, he's such a whore for publicity, he'll literally say or do ANYTHING short of MURDER to stay in the public eye.
I don't think transexualism is merely a facet of being homosexual.
DeleteIf one is burdened with a serious desire to be something other than Nature clearly intended him to be, it must be a horrible psychological burden for him or her to bear. Very sad.
I doubt very much if anyone would adopt such a course and go so far as literally to have his genitals removed merely to thumb his nose at society.
I did think juxtaposing the article about Liz Cheney going after Drag Queens with the item about Bruce Jenner was very funny, but the two had nothing to do with each other.

DeleteThe Atkisson story is the only one that is news. The man torturing and killing the cat is horrible, but alas, the world is full of people like that. It takes an especially despicable person to harm an animal.

DeleteAs a serious animal lover I found he story about that poor cat to be far and away the most horrific and distressing of all items listed.
The Death of a Thousand Cuts or a good long session on the Catherine Wheel or the Judas Cradle would be far too good for a creature who would do something like that.
Personally, I'd make the bastard drink a quart of lighter fluid, tie him to an iron pole, then set him ablaze with a taper applied to his screaming mouth.
