Thank you for introducing me to this great little film.
ReplyDeleteWe need more of this and less shouty politics.
There is a lot of truth in this film. Emotions are contagious.
ReplyDeleteOne pissed off and disgruntled person can poison the whole team, but some smiles and laughs can lift everyone up.
Our society has turned nasty and narcissistic in the extreme, and it has created a downward spiral.
____________ SMILE ____________
ReplyDeleteSmile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness,
Although a tear may be ever so near,
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile what’s the use of crying
You’ll find t sat life is still worthwhile
If you’ll just SMILE.
~ Charlie Chaplin (Modern Times)
ReplyDeleteAN ALTERNATIVE:
_________ LESS VILE _________
Smile, though your heart is breaking;
Smile, though your ass is aching.
Dressed in your shroud, please don’t cry, don’t deny
That no more will you have to borrow;
Death will save you that sorrow
You’ll see now you’re though, no one need mourn for you.
Please set aside your madness;
Mask every trace of badness,
Although great fear may appear near your bier,
That’s the time you must keep on smiling
There’s no more use reviling
Make you last trip down the aisle worthwhile
Don’t frown, just smile.
~ Ana Thema
It's also great fun to laugh AT people and ridicule/ demean them.
ReplyDeleteWhy make other people feel good, when you can make yourself feel good? :P
Ted Cruz is not qualified to be president because he was born in a foreign country!
ReplyDeleteCute little film. I liked it a lot.
ReplyDeleteIs "not smiling" for a state permit now universal? The last couple of times that I've renewed my drivers license or renewed a passport I have been ordered not to smile. I thought it might have just been a Canadian thing.
What have Ted Cruz's qualifications for office to do with this amusing little video? I see no connexion whatsoever, so why bring it up? Since you did, however, I'd rather have Senator Cruz in the White House than the pompous, empty-headed puppet who occupies it now.

Well my dear, thats what these progressives do, they bring their nonsense into every conversation, change every subject, and hope,just hope that someone may be stupid enough to believe it.

ReplyDeleteHey, it's T.J Thyne from Bones.
ReplyDeleteWell, I wouldn't know, so I'll have to take your word for it. When it comes to pop culture, I know I've missed a lot, but I've done it on purpose.
ReplyDeleteHey FT
