Why Be A Democrat?
Willfulness is part of what it takes;
Haughtiness makes a component too.
Yearning for a better life’s heartaches
Beset by Self-Deception’s shuttered view
Earns suicidal urges ‘mongst the Rich,
And fosters dreams of Vengeance in the Poor.
Deny this truth? You’re apt to lose your niche
Ending up locked outside your own door.
Money too diffused loses its power.
Our hope to see Equality for All
Creates a fractious mental climate sour
Resulting in Revolt bound to appall.
A misperception of our truest needs
Traps us where upon ourselves we feed.

Quite excellent, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite sure my grandfather, who would be 106 we're he still among the living, would be appalled at the Democrats of today.
ReplyDeleteHe was a life long Democrat...

Does this represent the views of most Democrats today? From a committed Democrat of yesterday and the apparent head indoctrinator puppet master of today's presidential "Democrat":
ReplyDelete“I admire Russia for wiping out an economic system which permitted a handful of rich to exploit and beat gold from the millions of plain people. . . . As one who believes in freedom and democracy for all, I honor the Red nation.”
ReplyDeletethe influence of the troika of Axelrod, Obama and Jarrett... all with Secret Service protection, is quite striking...
Through the troika, the cpusa's strategy of entryism into the Democratic Party is now complete.
ReplyDelete@ Waylon... I guess just another brain dead waste of good oxygen made that statement...
ReplyDeleteFT, this is really good...excellent job!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Z -- and you too Kurt.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of writing is good occupational therapy for me. When I get angry, instead of hitting someone, I write a sonnet.
Keeps me out of trouble. ;-)
Anyway, glad you enjoyed it.
Cheerio!

I feel guilty enjoying visiting the Republican zoo and watching the monkeys throw their poo against the walls.
ReplyDeleteEntryism -- or Enterism -- eh, Thersites?
ReplyDeleteSounds like plain old Communist INFILTRATION to me.
That's what we called it back in McCarthy's Day, and that's what it will always be to me.
The latest example is the Neocon Phenomenon that got the GOP -- and the USA -- in such terrible hot water.
Call me a xenophobe, if you want, BUT ...
The proof of the pudding and all that.
PFAUGH!

Ravenng wolves in sheep's clothing!
ReplyDeleteThe titles may change, but the deeds remain as foul as ever.
No no NO, Canardo!
ReplyDeleteOnly D'Rats fling poo around willy nilly.
OUR crowd only uses it sparingly and only on rare occasions to inscribe erudite anti-leftist remarks and clever verse on bathroom tiles when D'Rats come for cocktails.
I always enjoyed watching Baboons observing far superior Chimps at work. ;-)
ReplyDeleteRational Nation, it wasn't Ducky or Van Jones, although it would be easy enough to think that.
ReplyDeleteIt was Frank Marshall Davis, President Obama's mentor.
