If you want to know where the progressive left wants to take U.S. elections, a trip through Maryland´s Washington, D.C.-area suburban counties is instructive. The City of College Park in Prince George´s County is on the verge of becoming the ninth city in Maryland to allow non-citizens – including illegal aliens – to vote in municipal elections. In a revealing 20-minute video of a June 7 council meeting, city officials discussed how best to get rid of the citizenship requirement so that virtually anyone of legal age living in the city can vote. A council vote is slated for August …

Donald Trump campaigned on the promise to “drain the swamp” ––the D.C. establishment made up of most Congressmen from both parties, employees of executive agencies and bureaus, the political appointees who head up those agencies, and the hordes of lobbyists, fundraisers, Congressional staffers, “consultants,” “journalists,” and pundits. These are the “Beltway insiders” or the “political establishment” whose natural habitat is the swamp. These are the alligators Trump needs to get rid of. Of course, many of these D.C. denizens of the establishment are permanent dwellers in the swamp, beyond the reach of the president or even Congress. Besides, monitoring Congressmen should …

A man is charged with attempted murder and a raft of firearms offences after helping fend off home invaders, one of whom he’s now charged with shooting. Kyle Earl Munroe was arrested on July 12 after RCMP and Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a home invasion involving firearms at a home in Porters Lake. Police said that three men entered the residence with guns and a struggle took place with two men inside. The two in the home seized a firearm from one of the suspects and several shots were fired as the suspects fled. Police later located one of …
Cities and states control the elections for their non-federal elected officials, and that's the way it should be. If they are stupid enough to allow outsiders a vote in their destiny, we should simply hand them a Darwin's Award and scratch that place off our list of places to visit or move to.

DeleteEvery one has turned unto his own way."

It's a paradox. The last thing we should want is ALL power to be centered in Washington, DC. –– the aim of the Left since time immemorial. The Left strives towards unlimited dictatorshit every hour of every day.
And YET, when fractious Leftist insanity drives the politics of a particular state, city or region, most on the Right long to bring that region back under the aegis of Central Authority as mandated by what-Jefferson-called "the chains of the Constitution."
So what do we REALLY need –– UNITY? –– or DIVERSITY?
Obviously we need both, so it remains an Open Question to which there is no definitive, u answer.
And that's why "Stability" is such an ever-elusive goal –– and probably one that would be ruinous to the Freedom to grow and develop in good ways as well as bad.
You know as well as I that the nature of Life is to GROW, and that growth brings about inevitable CHANGE. Were it otherwise, we would remain infants sucking at our mothers' breasts throughout eternity –– and likely our perplexing human tribe would still be living an Animal Existence in the dirt where life would forever remain "nasty, brutish and short."
Therefore, we must accept CHANGE as the ONLY CONSTANT, live wth the disquieting effects of instability, but –– if we wish to be good citizens, and hope to perfect urselves to the greatest possible degree ––, we MUST learn to differentiate between GOOD change and DESTRUCTIVE change –– between BENEVOLENCE and MALIGNANCY.
No sensible person ever claimed the Life was EASY –– or that it SHOULD be. As theologian Oswald Chambers wrote, "[Our] STRENGTH comes from the STRAIN" [of liviing].
The moment we stop STRIVING we start DYING.
It's no surprise The Swamp creatures are fighting back tooth and nail.
ReplyDeletePresident Trump's bellicose inaugural address was a slap to the face of DC denizens with a rotten fish.
The DC Establishment respects nothing but power and filty lucre. They worship at the altar of their only god: Big Government.
President Trump drew butcher knives against the Establishment's sacred cow: Big Government
Imagine a newly-sworn-in President blaspheming God Almighty and his Son Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Imagine a President mocking Christians and swearing to lay waste to all vestiges of Christianity.
Looking through the pig eyes of a DC Swamp Creature (which includes pols of both parties, bureaucrats, rent seekers, regulators, lobbyists and the punditry) President Trump uttered such blasphemies, and it cut them to their toad-like brains (since they have no hearts).
President Trump stepped on a nest of snakes. The reaction
is instinctual (involving no thought or reflection), swift, violent, dangerous and relentless.
I still don't understand how he could not have anticipated this and armed up appropriately.
Funny! I would never have called Mr. Trump's inaugural address "bellicose." That is how the ENEMEDIA characterized it, of course, but I regarded it SANGUINE –– hearty, refreshingly frank, honest, and appropiately challenging to a foul, admittedly vile status quo.
DeleteI don't see him as ill-prepared at all. I believe he is the Right Man for these Troubled Times, and therefore deserves unqualifvied support from a populace whose future as a free and independent people is gravely imperiled.

DeleteSo, bye bye, Ray, and please don't EVER even DREAM of coming back.
It was a very confrontational speech delivered in a disparaging tone. He got in the DC Establishment's face and poked his finger in their chest, over and over, during that bombastic rodomontade.
DeleteSure, it was fun to watch, but he positively invited every long knife assassin, slinking saboteur and slimy sapper to bring it. And bring it they have.
He strolled into the DC sewage lagoon with a plunger when he should have brought an industrial strength hazmat team.
I don't say any of this with glee. I am saddened and disappointed he proved to be so ill-equipped and unprepared.
Interesting how two people who basically agree on most major issues would each see the same thing in an entirely dfferent light.
DeleteWjem Mr. Trump first got elected, all I could feel was ineffable joy. Since then, –– despite having wldly enthusiastic popular support among the rank and file working Americans ––, the incessant barrage of nattering negativism and insane accusatory rheotoric is bond to have a chilling, dispiriting effect –– which is EXACTLY what the ENEMEDIA intends it to do.
What saddens me most is the complete lack of support from the Republican Majorty in both houses of congress. We EXPECT bitter divisive, disparaging, cynical commentary from the Left, because that is ALL they EVER do. Negativism is their Stock-in-Trade –– their cachet, if you will.
Finding fault with our OWN SIDE, –– especially when engaged in a Civil War, as we most certaiby are today ––, has alway struck me as unseemly at best, traitorous at worst.
Thoughts are things. I prefer to dwell on the POSITIVE and eschew negatives when it comes to our ONLY HOPE that changes for the better might yet be possiblele.
I don't see the faults in Mr. Trump. I see them in the army of VICIOUS ANTAGONISTS who have set an agenda to DESTROY HIS PRESIDENCY before it can really get started. He is surrounded by EVIL people on all sides fully intent on doing him HARM.
NO approach, –– however civil, polite, coy, deferential, diplomaitic, clever, or skillfully duplicitous ––, is EVER going to move The Deep State and the snivelling sycophants who play up to it to make any meanungful changes in a system that serves the entrenched power blocs so well.
It will take more than a few sticks of dynamite, and no one with the sngle exception of Mr.Trump has enough moxie to attempt to do that.
President Trump is very much like Sheriff Joe Arpaio. "Everybnid" has wanted to take HIM down too, and he's still in there pitching at age EIGHTY-FIVE as far as I know.
A long time ago my highs chool English teacher gave us this quotation to discuss in class, and then write about for homework that night.
"Men becimes heroes when they do not traffic with inevitables."
Never give in. Never give up. Never say die. Never admit defeat. If you're going to go down, for CHRIST'S SAKE go down FIGHTING.
It's no surprise the Republicans oppose him. He beat them and he is a threat to them.
DeleteWe are in fundamental agreement, but you keep reading defeat into my comments. Nothing of the kind. I am very upbeat. Politics is politics, life is life.
I tell it as I see it, Silver. You may not think of yourself as a defeatist, but your critical approach to discourse gives the opposite impression. Not that you don't have the right to express yourself anyway you choose, but I just can't see any SUPPORT for the president in your rhetoric.
DeleteSupporting someone doesn't mean closing your eyes to reality, or calling a dumb move a dumb move.
DeletePresident Trump pulled the equivalent of walking into a strange bar, calling all the men pussies and all the women sluts.
IF the bar needs cleaned out because its full of bad people, that could be one way to announce yourself, but you better have a crew backing you.
The beginning of President Trump's downfall: Sessions recused, Nunes recused, special prosecutor appointed.
All that's left at this point to fire back with is Justice going after Hillary's gang and some of Obamas people in a tit for tat.
Of course I support our President, but I'm not going to engage in delusional fantasies and refuse to face unpleasant facts.
Interesting point of view! I understand your brand of logic, but don't share it. You are welcome to your opinion, of course, but I can't see how that line of thinking could possibly get us any forrader.
DeleteAll things good and bad start with a dream, a vision, a hope, –– an illusion, if you prefer. Nothing ever got accomplished by a bland acceptance of the status quo.
What you see as the president's Achilles Heel, I see as his primary Strong Point, but we needn't come to blows over it.
Perhaps it's because I am a native New Yorker that I see things from a colorfully combative perspective?
Darn. I peeked in earlier and saw Ducky had barged in demanding his Godwin's Law trophy.
ReplyDeleteI see you disinfected the place before I could respond. Probably better that way...
Well, old friend, you know me. I'm more than happy to play the Benevolent Despot in my own little fiefdom. ];^}>
DeleteI don't suffer fools gladly, and I like vicious, destructive. malignant personalities even less, so whenever I see 'em, OUT they go.
You, of course, may do as you please, but at my advanced age I'm not willing to waste ANY of whatever amount of precious time I may have left wading around in the cesspools of life hoping to discover a gold watch or a diamond ring buried in the stinking ooze and slime.
Trying to deal rationally and politely with creatures of QUACKPOT's sorry ilk is a complete waste. Why waste time with ventures that yield no profit, and just add to the already too avundant store of frustration, rage, heartache and disappointment?
Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful ...
We could never get any better advice than that.
I think the right is getting Very focused. I think that's a good thing. Well take a reading Nov 2018.
ReplyDeleteI would agree, Kid, but the "Right" isn't REALLY the "Right," is it? MOST of the GOP are weak, venal, weasely, thoroughly disingenuous, completely undependable malefactors at worst, drones at best, who might as well be in cahoots with the Democrats.
DeleteThe ONLY people I now of in congress who appear to be genuine Conservatives would the members of the Freedom Caucus in the House of Representatives.

ReplyDeleteThank you! They are all stock images available from Google, which has THOUSANDS at out disposal, but I admit it takes quite a bit of time to find ones that fit the articles we post. And it may take a bit of knowledge to know what to ask for. At any rate, thanks very much for noticing.
DeleteWhere is this going to end? So some anonymous guy at the British Open creates a fake news story and some anonymous source says Trump said something stupid and you liberals eat it up like a fat kid devours a Ben and Jerry’s Gallon of Kitchen Sink Ice Cream .
ReplyDeleteWe’ve been taken in by those Dumb Ass Fake News stations like MSNBC and CNN, these past few days, and weeks and now we are supposed to believe some anonymous Jackass at a Golf match?
Why is Golf Digest magazine even printing this gossip, or (Bull-Shit)?? Is it any wonder Americans are so divided, when you have a completely corrupt elite media?
These liberals are like a bunch of pom pom waving stooges showing just how stupid they are ..
Tell me, Michelle Obama said she wasn't proud to be an American till her husband was elected president. Where was your outrage then? Wasn’t that a much bigger story then Donald Trump calling the “White House a Dump”?
But, you know what? This Still Doesn't Change the Fact That , Crooked Hillary Isn't and Will Never Be President. Thanks to PRESIDENT TRUMP!
"Is it any wonder Americans are so divided, when you have a completely corrupt elite media?"
DeleteAnd there you have hit the proverbial nail in its proverbial head.
I have to say, though that I don't favor calling liberals "stupid." They are not. Many of them are devilishly clever, but filled with so many perverse ideas their reasoning owers, which are considerable have been thoroughly corrupted by the propaganda they receuved from an educational system dominated by Leftist Ideology whose destructive, demoralizing assertions are magnified and glorified all day every day by every facet of the ENEMEDIA. (Orwell sarcastically and ironically called it "The Ministry of Truth.")
At any rate, all we know is what we are TOLD by the ENEMEDIA and whatever other Powers That Be may influence our lives.
THAT is why we need to learn to depend more on INSIGHT and PERCEPTION instead of merely accepting what others may TELL us.
Dear Mr. FreeThinke,
ReplyDeleteThe Republicans profess conservative ideals, but they are incapable of legislating and governing.
The Democrats rule and legislate with a brutal unity of purpose and a complete disregard for those they trample, but their agenda is a frightening mixture of Chairman Mao and futuristic dystopian novels.

Donald John Trump's election was a slap in the face to the majority of Americans. Slowly more eyes are opening.
ReplyDeleteThe swap needs to be drained. DJT is not the "man" to do it.
The "Clinton Foundation" scooping up hundreds of million$ in foreign "donations" was the ultimate FU to a stupefied electorate.
DeleteYou're not only a LIAR, Anonsky, you are STUPID as well. The majority of GENUINE American citizens LOVE Mr.Trump.
DeleteSticks and stones may break my bones, and all that.
DeleteDo YOU define genuine Americans Mr. Trump? By whose authority other than your own misguided and pompous elitism.
President Trump is gaudy, vulgar and always looking for a way to cash in. That makes him a quintessential genuine American, Les.
DeleteDo Californians count more that West Virginians? President Trump was duly elected--the establishment is having a pants-shitting nervous breakdown because they cannot accept reality and the will of the people.
They will probably succeed in bringing him down, and you and the rest of the hissy fit progs can go back to your self-satisfied smug sanctimony as you plot how to take out President Pence.
Oh darn! You answered the Nurse before i could delete his smarmy platitudinous display of slimy sanctimonious specious logic.
DeleteBUT you answered him very well, for which I thank you –– except for one thing: I am POSITIVE that Mr. Trump did NOT deliberately put himself in HARM'S WAY, as he has done, in order to "CASH IN."
I don't think he pursued the presidency to cash in, either. I was referring to his business life.
DeleteHe has been preaching his MAGA economic message for over 25 years and he has always been a patriotic America-firster. Unlike most other politicians, that wasn't an act just to get elected.
The Goopers on the far right gooper blogs ESPECIALLY THIS ONE are whining that its so unfair that we're seeing what a cappy person and weak president tRump is because of the people who leak this information. The Goopers just don't get that the people leaking are from the tRump White house, excuse me "the dump." And those leakers in tRump's "Dump" hate him so much that theyre willing to leak anything aabout the moron. I couldn't be more thrilled to see him being taken down by the people who work in what he calls "the dump." I hope the dump dumps all over Trump! Screw him and his disrespect to America. ReplyDeleteDiscrimination is a part of every society and discrimination comes in many forms. Ask a Muslim if women are equal to men, ask a black women if she will date an Asian. Everyone has prejudices it is just a matter on what.
Russiamania is all the rage and that is all that occupies the news. It's crap but we will to hear about it for another 3 1/2 years. The dems will do anything to keep it in the headlines and the MSM is happy to participate.

DeleteThis idea that every little peon has some sort of "duty" to think of himself as a political ACTIVIST who MUST do everythung possible to gum up the works in order to force his cockamamie opinions on the public MUST be STOPPED. Employees can and ought to be fired for INSUBORDINATION.
On the other hand, if a privately owned bakery is stupid enough to want lose revenue because it does not believe it's morally right to bake a cake for a homosexual wedding, that business SHOULD have the right to shoot itself in its financial foot like that.

ReplyDeleteAnother sign that Trump'spresidency is an abysmal failure in the mind of the D'Rats and Internationalist Treasonites, I'm sure.
Frankly, my dears, I don't give a damn WHAT they think. My portfolio has gained ELEVEN PERCENT since November 9, 20016.
It didn't gain anywhere near that much in any of the eight long years we were an OBAMANATION. My excellent financial advisors could only manage to keep us on an even keel, but ALL we were able to do during those tedious years was TREAD WATER until Mr. TRUMP took office.
So I say, "GOD BLESS AMERICA, and GOD BLESS DONALD J. TRUMP
