    Only going back as far as the Nixon administration here but it seems every since Watergate the government has been following a downward trend, albeit with a couple of upticks. On of which was decidedly NOT IMV the administration of GWB.

    JMJ, it continues to grow in size and scope and the emphasis is on (as it has been for quite some time) concentrating power in the executive branch.

    Just my opinions of course.
