I put up a whole performance of the Messiah on my blog, also by the Kings College Choir of Cambridge and also conducted by Cleobury but a different performance, and I enjoy listening to it but I must say Lynne Dawson is particularly excellent with one of my favorite parts. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteShe is that -- and being a great beauty as well as a marvelous singer who joyfully projects the meaning of the text with every syllable while executing treacherously difficult ornamental passages doesn't hurt a bit.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you came to visit, Faith.
Merry Christmas to you!

Beautiful voice.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Finntann, bur she'd be a treat to behold, even if she had no voice at all. It's wonderful, indeed, when beauty and talent coincide. I chose this particular performance after reviewing seven or eight, because of the excellence of her singing, and the sprightly interpretation.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you!

ReplyDeleteI just listened to her again. I love her full rich voice. And yes she is very pretty.
Merry Christmas to you as well.
