    I'm not very familiar with this tune that you posted, FT. Oh, well.

    Mine. Love that honky tonk piano!

    The story behind the song itself. I think that Stuart Hamblen sang the bass line in the Rosemary Clooney recording, but I could be wrong about that detail.

    I was 2.5 years old when I discovered this song. During Hurricane Hazel while we were on vacation, my parents and I were stranded in West Virginia in a diner with a juke box. Finally, the manager of the diner set the jukebox to play "This Old House" non-stop.

      I like the Stuart Hamblin version better, and I think Tennessee Ernie Ford is singing bass on his verson. Hamblin wrote that song, btw.
