Sometimes the Duck isn't even worth the trouble. When you get past the skin, no matter what the color of the skin may be, you find the the meat is mealie and tasteless.
ReplyDeleteIt's all in the seasoning and cooking, NIMN. A really talented cook could turn a pair of old boots and three pairs of dirty socks into a heavenly ragout. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe so, but in this case he dosn't have much to work with.
ReplyDeleteWe don't know that. I love food, and have no other motive than to share good information about preparing and serving unusual dishes.
ReplyDeleteAny inferences and innuendos others may choose draw from our food pages are strictly coincidental, of course.
I'm sure, however, that one day the Virulent Vegans and Political Vegetarians will try to come after us for "cruelty to animals," etc.
To them all I can says is, "BRING IT ON!" ;-)
How To Hunt Bull Moose, or How I Became an Outdoorsman.
ReplyDeleteIndeed,
ReplyDeleteI'm a foodie myself, and both Duck and Pulpo can be great at times, as it also can be very hard to get down when grilled to much
The Liberals who discount what the pollsters, say about their electoral chances in the upcoming election.... Inevitably, their goose is going to be cooked!
ReplyDeleteThere are many things that observant folk can learn from a duck. Jes sayin'.
ReplyDeleteHere's a poser for you:
ReplyDeleteHow on earth can a duck fly when he is possessed of two left wings?
We are no much interested in how they fly, but rather in how we can cook them so they are relatively free of the fat for which they re so famous, yet still crisp, savory, moist and tender.
ReplyDeleteYou're not doing it right, FreeThinke.
ReplyDeleteOver at AOW's, I repeated what a friend from New Hampshire told me about their anger at people from Mass moving in and changing the politics.
I included his term "Massholes" (his term, not mine) in an exchange with Ducky, and the lady we like despite her leftwardness did an entire blog screed on it, so I guess she is still lurking in Right Blogistan.
All she has demonstrated is how a fairly homogenous state with a below-average minority population and below-average population trends can do pretty well for itself. Nothing earth-shattering.
If hordes of rightwingchristian cowboys invaded the state and tipped it red, we'd be hearing red-faced howls of outrage and indignation from the progressives there.
People from Mass have it nice, and I congratulate them. I wish Colorado could learn their secret of having it so good but keeping it a secret so you don't end up with an invasion on your hands.
There must be some reason people are nor flocking to such a paradise...
He's doing it perfectly
