It is a sad day in American history. Few people realize that all of the recent nightmares in the housing and job market were artificially induced by the criminals controlling the Federal Reserve, which is privately owned. It's not federally owned and they have no reserve to back the value of our money. Our money today has no intrinsic value. It is a paper game. Why do you think China is buying up all the world's gold? They're smart and we're not, plain and simple. All of the recent economic troubles in America have been deliberately caused to condition us, to force us to beg for relief from a new leader, and that leader is implementing Socialism as the answer. America is in serious trouble as a nation and now we've got a treasonous Communist as our President.

Obama is trampling on the graves of all those killed in Afghanistan, especially those who died trying to rescue him. This President has betrayed our nation.

These facts were known to Obama when he made the deal, and yet he went ahead in irresponsible disregard for lives he has endangered. As the facts have emerged — and more surely will — it has become ever clearer that he lost his presidential compass in the Taliban swap.
His Rose Garden announcement looked more like a Victory Lap where he was bringing home an American POW appears to have been a cynical act of theater. And that “HIG” to Bowe Bergdahl’s Mother was sickening!
This event here will become his legacy... the legacy of the weakest POTUS our nation ever had. WE DO NOT DEAL WITH TERRORISTS and this is yet another reason why this will show our nation as weak.

Bergdahl's return, but overemphasis of any bit of evidence primarily to score points for a particular "side" results in distortion of the truth, which does no lasting good. When both sides do it, both are equally wrong.

ReplyDeleteIt has become increasingly obvious the right has become as thick headed and intransigent as the left, thus adding to and increasing the deadlock in Congress and the insanity.
Republican and conservative politics has become less about fiscal responsibility, constitutional government, rule of law, concern for the general welfare of the nation, rational discourse, and common sense and more about personality, fluff and hyperbole, frightening the public with BS, and turning the nation into a Oligarchy and or Plutocracy.
Republican/Consevative motto.... Attack with innuendo, BS hyperbole, insults, and when called on it cry foul and begin the deafening whine.
I've criticized the left harshly in the past while watching the right become just as bad if not worse.
But please, by all means continue on. You have every right to your opinion and I encourage you to express it. Freely, openly, and with vigor and a fervour that makes the faithful sheeple proud.

ReplyDeleteEarly in 2007, disturbed by reports of John Edwards' $400 Beverly Hills haircut, Miami Herald columnist Leonard Pitts expressed his exasperation at the "fake authenticity" practiced by today's politicians:
I do know a con when I see one. And in politics, I see them all the time.
We are courted by blow-dried, focus-grouped, stage-managed, photo-opped, sloganeering, false-smiling, hand-clasping, back-slapping would-be leaders who say they feel our pain and understand our concerns and maybe sometimes they do, but all too often, it seems they feel little and understand less.
Superficiality gleams in their perfect teeth and scripted lines. They work hard to make style look just like substance.
That's good, vigorous writing: a pair of short, direct sentences on either side of a classic bdelygmia.
A classic what? Pronounced "de-LIG-me-uh" and derived from the Greek word for "abuse," this rhetorical device is a form of invective: an exuberant rant, a litany of disparaging remarks, a string of stinging criticisms.
Back in 1604, King James I of England employed bdelygmia in the conclusion to his "Counterblaste to Tobacco":
A custom loathsome to the eye, hateful to the Nose, harmful to the brain, dangerous to the Lungs, and in the black stinking fume thereof, nearest resembling the horrible Stygian smoke of the pit that is bottomless.
Bdelygmia remains a potent verbal weapon. You could often hear it unleashed on MSNBC when newscaster Keith Olbermann identified the "Worst Person in the World." Or on HBO's Real Time when comedian Bill Maher announces "New Rules." Or on the radio when Rush Limbaugh launches into a rant against liberals.
But what may be the best known modern specimen of bdelygmia falls well outside the realms of politics and social commentary. It's a song, composed 40 years ago by Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) for the animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. An extended litany of abuse, the song concludes:
You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch,
You're a nasty wasty skunk,
Your heart is full of unwashed socks, your soul is full of gunk, Mr. Grinch.
The three words that best describe you are as follows, and I quote,
"Stink, stank, stunk"!
"You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" may not be the most sophisticated lyric ever composed, but then bdelygmia is not a particularly sophisticated rhetorical device. It's up front and in your face.
And while it may be ignited by anger or frustration, the sheer excess of bdelygmia--of insults and aspersions piled sky high--often creates a comic effect in the end. So take a deep breath before letting it all out with bdelygmia--and proceed with caution.

Of course, as Right-Wing hypocrisy knows no bounds, dishonorable conservatives were forced to delete and scrub their sites of pro-Bergdahl solidarity.
Even their "complaints" about Bergdahl are disgusting.
He didn't like eat barbecue and drink with the other guys! He showed compassion towards the Afghan People! He studied their culture and language!

The Republican Party is mad about the 5-to-1 trade because Saint Ronnie Raygun's policy was to trade military arms for hostages and use illegally obtained money to fund Reagan's Pro-Terrorist Policy outside of Congressional controls. The way the first arms-for-hostages deal was designed, Israel would sell US-made weapons to Iran, and the US Government would replace Israel's weapons from its own stocks. As a favor to us, Israel was allowing itself to be used as a pass-through for America sending missiles to Iran. As to the complainant President Obama broke the law!1!!1! This shit-flinging is part and parcel of the Republican Party.
The Rose Garden announcement looked more like a Victorian Lap Dance where Oblama was singing about “There’s No place Like Home” and Armenian POWs appear to dance and sing along with the rest of the crowd of deserters. .

Bergdahl's health was deteriorating, & negotiation had been ongoing since 2011. The emir of Qatar was the intermediary.
No negotiation happened w/ the Taliban.
Beside that.....what happened to the Republican’s cry “no soldier left behind” isn’t that their big rallying cry. Beside that.....they love Putin & said Obama always leads from behind. They wanted him to lead, he just did.
