And as for Fox news’s deranges way of reporting it, let's not forget that Ann Coulter has been advocating for the death of all Muslims for years. After the Boston bombing, she said she didn't care what Katherine Russell, the widow of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, knew or didn't know : "She should be thrown in jail for wearing a hijab."
In just a few years, Fox News has done more damage to the Republican Party than anything else in recent history.

It's pretty stupid to think that this Ted Cruz could even be Presidential material. And I'm sure the GOP thinks any Black man will vote for him just because of his last name. So now being born in Canada is okay, even with a Cuban father, but born in Hawaii with a Kenyan father isn't? Small minded, indeed. Stay crazy my friends, that’s why you are losing.
These bizarre right-wingers will conjure up any byzantine explanation as to why the Constitution gives a Canadian-born candidate the right to serve as a United States president. I understand now, Obama's not a natural born citizen, because he's black, but Cruz IS a natural born citizen, because he's white. I get it. Let's be honest, most of the Tea party voters are angry at Obama not because of his policies, but because of his color of his skin. If they were honestly angry about Obama policies, they wouldn't have wanted to support Mitt Romney. Romney did not only believe in everything Obama is doing, he supported every one of them. From abortion, to gay marriage, Romneycare, taxes and etc, Romney held these positions and then he said was against them. But the Tea Party still wanted to vote for him anyway, well you see haw that worked out..
The same can be said about the people of Boston who locked themselves up in their homes and cowardly refused to go out into the Boston area’s streets. After a terrorist attack on their city, these people should have been out supporting their City and not giving into a couple of Terrorist KIDS! In my opinion they handled like "Cowards" under the lock down that day. But that’s the way Liberals are, BIG mouths and NO Guts..

Apparently the powers at the CDC have exhumed the DNA from bodies in graves that were victims the greatest epidemic of the last century, the "Spanish Flu", calling it today with the updated moniker H1N1.

Frankly, I think the Left-Right paradigm is outmoded. Waylon seems to understand what we are REALLY up against better than most. He and I have disagreed many times, particularly on certain cultural matters, but in this area I think his diagnosis is spot on.
And AOW, as usual, is quite right. These monstrous little robots are just more tools for tyrants.
I have no idea what is going to happen to us, but I feel very glad I am 72 and not 22 or 32 any longer.

ReplyDeleteQuite simply, it's a way of controlling privacy and with it our bet moments of being creative, rebellious or anything but good little predictable consumers. The government becomes more opaque and we become more visible until we lose our sense of individuality.

I struggle with this idea myself because I spend a good fifteen hours a week going out and essentially violating peoples privacy even if they are in public.

Even Orwell's work was derived from Forster.
The only way to survive is to live outside The System. Live inside your own head instead. It's always been the safest repository for your hopes, dreams and ambitions.

I think these examples shown are as fascinating as they are horrifying. I can't be alone in that opinion, so i's a great mystery to me why NO ONE except our friend AOA, has bothered to address the topic.
Curiosity may have killed the CAT, but the LACK of curiosity and resultant ingenuity might very well signify the death of freedom for the human race.
Right now we are experiencing that famous Frog in the Pot Syndrome and it IS killing us -- slowly-but-surely.
