LET'S BAN BANNING
REVIVE GUILT and CONTRITION INSTEAD
SUBSTANCES and PRODUCTS are NOT to BLAME for SOCIETY'S ILLS –– WE ARE.

NEWSFLASH!

A NEW explosion –– apparently even worse than the latest Boston Massacre –– occurred at a FERTILIZER FACTORY in WACO, TEXAS on the day before the 20th Anniversary of the Wholesale Slaughter by Incineration of Innocent Women, Children and their Menfolk by Government Thugs ordered by then-Attorney General Janet Reno against The Branch Davidian Compound.

Now isn't THAT a strange coincidence?

"If a piece of the Continent is washed away, Europe is the less. Ask not for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee."

Humanity, as always, has much to mourn.

Mourn by all means for the infant babies murdered in cold blood at Dr. Gosnell's Charnel House.

Mourn for poor little Martin Richards, the eight -year-old boy who was killed in the new Boston Massacre, but in truth the child may be better off than those left behind. I shudder to think of what he undoubtedly would have had to face if he'd lived to maturity.

Humanity banned MURDER thousands of years ago, but that has never deterred determined fiends from wantonly committing senseless slaughter, has it?

BANNING is NOT the ANSWER

We may ban War, ban The Bomb, ban all Guns, ban all Knives, ban Slingshots, ban the stockpiling of Stones, even the use of Clay or Ceramic Flower Pots, Hammers, Saws, Pliers, Garden Shears, Rakes, Hoes, Spades, Shovels, Chains, Pots, Pans, more than one piece of Crockery per person. We could ban the use of Fists, Baseball and Cricket Bats, Sticks, Twigs -- we can ban ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, but it will do NOTHING to stop the madness.

The "Enemy" IS "Us."

Because of the new horror in Waco, I'll be astonished if someone doesn't bring a bill before congress demanding a ban on the manufacture of FERTILIZER before the week is out.

Let's see what could we ban next? FIRE? GAS STOVES? COOKING OIL? CHARCOAL GRILLS? LAMPS? TABLES? PICTURES? MIRRORS? VASES? TABLES? CHAIRS? KNICK KNACKS? GARDEN STATUES? PRESCRIPTION DRUGS? AUTOMOBILES? AIRPLANES? HELICOPTERS?  TRUCKS? TRAINS? SCREWDRIVERS? ICE PICKS? KEYS?

The list could endless, because there is NOTHING that cannot be abused, and NOTHING that cannot be turned into a murderous weapon.

We do not need more LEGISLATION. We do not need any kind of PROHIBITION. What we need instead is mental, moral and spiritual REJUVENATION and a new PRIORITIZATION of goals, values, desires and mores.

In short we need to restore the lost concept of GUILT if we ever hope to develop a CONSCIENCE and a develop a proper sense of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY all the while remembering that it is OURSELVES we need to improve –– not OTHERS.

SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS –– i.e. the disease of Religious Fundamentalism and of Marxian Liberalism –– may very well be the DEADLIEST SIN of all.

Sober acceptance of responsibility
for one's misdeeds and shortcomings
is good for the soul and for society.

You REALLY don't get Marxism, do you?

Marx explained that human beings are "alienated" from fulfilling "true" desires of peaceful love and harmony with one another by an EVIL something he called a COMMODITY FETISH. If only we didn't have this "fetish" for "substitutes" for our "true" desires, everything would be "wonderful". We wouldn't feel compelled to amass huge store-houses of "commodities/ goods" in case of disasters and emergencies, we could ALL rest peacefully and securely in the loving arms of our "commune"-ities.

And best of all, we wouldn't have to "rape" and "ravage" the earth's resources in an ever-expansive quest for security, if we were "cured" of our COMMODITY FETISH, we would only use what we "needed", and not a "surplus" that included what we "wanted/ desired.... for our desires are UNLIMITED, and we constantly substitute one commodity for another in our never ending quest for a feeling of "satisfaction" and/or "contentment".

Know that you are "loved" and that Marx "loves you." Rest secure in "his" arms... and stop using commodities as a "fetish" for that "love" and "security".

  2. So abandon your "real-ity" and "real" world and join the Marxists on Meerkat Island(Life of Pi). Rest content floating on an island that is bound and determined to eat and digest you in its' acid pools. Don't climb back into the lifeboat with your "tiger" and sail away to a "real" world embrace of your "commodity fetish".

  3. Mindy, I think that you were reading the wrong post, Free Thinke didn't delete your posts, there are still here this very moment, I just read them

The things you said about him are unfair. Although what you said about liberals are factual.

  4. It seems to me that reveling in self-righteousness is an inherent part of human nature. We have to LEARN how not to be self-righteous, IMO.

Jesus Christ made it clear that self-righteousness is a grievous sin and may actually block the way to eternal life. Remember His tirades directed toward the Pharisees, whom Jesus called "Vipers!"

According to Genesis, Eve succumbed to temptation when the serpent told her that she could be like a god, knowing good and evil. I interpret that as meaning the following: "You can be like a god and determine exactly which deeds are good and which deeds are evil." Moral relevancy, in other words.

  5. How shall we then determine what is good and what is evil? I guess that God decides that. I think that the Bible provides sufficient guidelines for a moral ethos, but certainly does not present a plan for government. In the Bible, we see, time and again, that a theocracy of any kind doesn't work because, even if that theocracy starts out good, human beings corrupt it.

  6. The savages of Cuba regarded gold as a fetish of the Spaniards. They celebrated a feast in its honour, sang in a circle around it, and then threw it into the sea. If the Cuban savages had been present at the sitting of the Rhine Province Assembly, would they not have regarded wood as the Rhinelanders' fetish? But a subsequent sitting would have taught them that the worship of animals is connected with this fetishism, and they would have thrown the hares into the sea in order to save the human beings.

Free yourselves of your fetishes, my Marxist friends! BURN your wealth! Don't do as the GREEDY aboriginals of North America did in their great potlatch festivals with expectations of "returns" from generosity.

Worship Moloch! To regain your sovereignty, you must throw your CHILDREN into the fires!

  7. Thersites, what you say may be interesting and instructive, but I can't see that it is in any a way response to today's post.

MCT, thanks for the support, but Mindy is GONE. We don't need people of that ilk around here.

I've reached the point where I'd rather be alone than in bad company. I don't care whether you are conservative or liberal or a devotee of Voodoo and Satanism I'm just not going to put up with snotty, belligerent remarks that attempt to tell me-- or any of my guests -- what's wrong with them and what they need to do about it.

There's more than enough spite and stupidity in the world. I am not going to let myself be be responsible for adding to it.

  8. I don't worry that the fertilizer plant explosion was a conspiracy of some sort, but I agree with the thrust of this post.

It comes down to conscience and morality.

To piggyback on the theory regarding guild and conscious, what corrodes these concepts is the constant admonishment for us to feel guilt and shame over things we did not do and had no control over.

I'm supposed to feel guilt for slavery, although most likely, none of my ancestors owned any. My Eastern European half certainly did not, since they came here post WW II (and were themselves enslaved by Nazis). The backwoods hick half were all too poor to even own land. My grandpa didn't even have a birth certificate or any record of his birth.

So they can take their guilt-trip and shove it where the sun don't shine. While acknowledging life's realities, I will not flagellate myself for being born a white man.

So I see this false guilt agenda as potentially another avenue to destroy the healthy, sincere guilt that guides our souls on the path to being a genuinely better human being.

  10. More on the progressive guilt agenda:

Progressive idiots like David Sirota bleat on about "white privilege" never seem to take any personal actions against it.

Do any of the blabbering BS'ers at Morons Spouting Nothing But Crap, give up a percentage of their payched to Toure', or maybe give him a better parking spot?

Maybe if Sirota and his ilk would give up the trappings of their privilege and turn it over to poor people living in the inner cities, (or maybe Colon Powell's family) it would set an example for the rest of us.

Of course, I'm being sarcastic. I have served with and worked with too many non-white people to buy their agenda.

If you harbor any white supremacist tendencies (and these progressives, with their paternalistic attitudes towards non-whites most certainly are the other side of that coin) just go live and work with people other than yourself for awhile.

NOT a reply to your post? Marx believes that they ARE to blame.

  12. My language above was ambiguous.

My point is, no race or gender is superior to another, and I abhor the progressive agenda that preaches otherwise.

  13. I've grown fond of a recently discovered quotation from G.K. Chesterton:

When asked who he thought was responsible for the current ills that plagued the world of his time, Chesterton answered, "I am responsible."

THAT is the kind of "guilt" I was attempting to discuss in this post.

    If not I, WHO?

"If it is to be, it's up to ME."

I could expand on that for hours, but I'd rather someone ELSE get my point and do their own expanding.

The point, of course, is there is nothing to be gained by BLAMING others, even if they ARE responsible for making things worse. It is up to each one of US to do his best to TRY to make a difference in support of what we know to be right and good.

Every other approach just makes things worse.

The emphasis should not be on PUNISHMENT but on HEALING.

That said, I'd much prefer it if terrorists -- and those guilty of other forms of violent assault -- when caught red-handed were simply SHOT DEAD on the SPOT and tossed into the trash ASAP. FINIS!

  16. The cause of the explosion is more likely the storage limit violation and the lack of any inspection for 8 years than anything to do with the psychotic child molester who killed agents serving a valid warrant and later immolated himself and his remaining followers.

So inspection services were lax but our Galtian masters wouldn't want them at all.
This explosion (far more damaging than Boston) will pass without any action.

  17. Why do leftists think that conservative, traditional-value Americans - who believe in the us constitution and bill of rights - have an ideology that would motivate terror, but that Islamists do not?

It's insane, I guess leftists and Islamists think alike..

  18. President Obama framed what comes next when he addressed the nation friday night after police captured the 19-year-old.

“Obviously, there are still many unanswered questions,” he said. “Among them, why did young men who grew up and studied here as part of our communities and our country resort to such violence? How did they plan and carry out these attacks? And did they receive help?”

    We know what motivated them:
    Islamism Did..

Here's what a real investigation would seek to discover, here are the real questions that should be asked.

    Who helped them?
    Who financed them?
    Who trained them?
Who was aware beforehand and kept quiet?
Who knew afterwards and kept quiet?
Why did the FBI drop the ball in 2011?
Which foreign country wanted the FBI to investigate them?
What role - if any - did al harbi play in this?
Is there a hotbed of Islamism hidden within the college the younger brother attended and other cells?
Did any professors encourage them by teaching them an anti-usa/anti-russia narrative for the chechen wars?

Sadly, I don't have confidence that the obama appointed us attorney or that the "PC" FBI will get to the bottom of this.

By the way, this is a great blog. Keep it going. We need to win this war and we can not do it as long as the Liberals in Washington are running things.

...and so Marxists don't blame themselves, nor do they suffer any "guilt". BLAME is the sign of an "undivided" subject (pervert), accusing a "divided" subject of cynicism.

Critical Theory is just another name for the ideological "Blame Game".

from Slavoj Zizek's "How to Read Lacan": This brings us to Lacan's depiction of the pervert: the pervert displaces division onto the Other. Hirshi Ali is a divided subject, inconsistent with herself, lacking the courage of her own beliefs.

  25. NEW YORK, April 20 (Reuters) - The fertilizer plant that exploded on Wednesday, obliterating part of a small Texas town and killing at least 14 people, had last year been storing 1,350 times the amount of ammonium nitrate that would normally trigger safety oversight by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Yet a person familiar with DHS operations said the company that owns the plant, West Fertilizer, did not tell the agency about the potentially explosive fertilizer as it is required to do, leaving one of the principal regulators of ammonium nitrate - which can also be used in bomb making - unaware of any danger there.

Fertilizer plants and depots must report to the DHS when they hold 400 lb (180 kg) or more of the substance. Filings this year with the Texas Department of State Health Services, which weren't shared with DHS, show the plant had 270 tons of it on hand last year.

    -----
Hmmm, West Fertilizer should be declaring bankruptcy any second.

    Criminal charges are remote.

I am not INTERESTED in Marxism. I AM interested in MYSTICISM and the beneficial effects of honest introspection, positive thinking, meditation and prayer -- all linked to a concept that fully understands The World is NOT mutable, but the INDIVIDUAL most certainly IS.
