A Waste of Time
A penchant to be disputatious
Foments an atmosphere ungracious.
Defaulting e’er to ridicule
Reveals an urge to fight a duel.
Recognizing others’ worth,
Showing just a trace of mirth,
Acknowledgement of others’ virtue
Helps bridge gaps, and could not hurt you.
Verse with wit’s unique, distinct,
Clear, concise, brief and succinct.
Engaging in a barroom brawl
Does no one any good at all.
Pugnaciousness is not a crime,
Instead it’s just a waste of time.
~ FreeThinke
"Degustibus non est disputandum."

Posting rhyme's a waste of time
ReplyDeleteSince no one come to read.
The rhymes we post are not a crime,
Nor are the contents dead.
I must admit the dearth of wit
Here in the blogosphere
From where I sit could cause a fit
If I got lit, my dear.
The dullness and the dreariness
Could make one lose one's mind,
If one allowed the weariness
One's soul to mincemeat grind.
I returned to share my fruit from the Garden of the Hesperides. Please take it as a token offered towards understanding, and not an attempt to sew discord.
